They say everything in life happens for a reason. I guess you don't fully comprehend it until you actually experience the escapism of harsh realities through such miraculous luck. Trust me I learned the hard way, well at least I thought I did. Truly I'm forever grateful I came across this life changing opportunity but most importantly i never forget where i came from.

London was white this December as Christmas was approaching. Each step I took across the road made my feet slowly sink into the snow leaving a small footprint behind. At the end of the road I was met with a familiar building. It hadn't changed one bit. The name read "Sully's" in bold writing. It felt like just yesterday I was serving my favourite customers and cleaning table after table.

I can't say I missed it though. Sure it had its advantages; after all I made some friends for life there, but they didn't outweigh the disadvantages like being constantly yelled at for making minor mistakes and being told your not good enough for the majority of each shift.

Let me tell you the story of how I became a sudden celebrity...

1 year ago ...

"You're pizza will be ready in one moment, Arthur. That with the beer comes up to £18.50." I smile, facing the card reader towards the elderly man.

The man reciprocates a genuine smile before hesitating to speak. "Here you are." You know..... I've been coming to sully's for years now."

I smirk knowing where this conversation is headed before letting him continue.

"And every Friday I see you. And every Friday I think the same thing. Did you know you look just like—"

"Anna Sophia? I've heard it once or twice before." Arthur stares for a moment analysing my features once more.

"Yes! The likeness is extraordinary! She's very beautiful."

"I appreciate the compliment, Arthur." I began, sitting down opposite him with the palm of my hand resting on my cheek and my elbow against the table. "But looks is about all she and I have in common. She's a famous singer and well I'm just a waitress."

"My favourite waitress!" He adds, noticing the sad expression upon my face." I'll see you again next Friday. And here's a few extra pounds for your trouble."

grabbing my check earned from todays work, Just as I was about to leave, i opened the door ajar as the sound of the bells above the exit began to dance.

I felt a hand tap me on the shoulder. I turned around only to find Nathan stood before me. He was way taller than me, resulting in having to look down to speak to me. He had deep brown eyes that you could stare into for hours and dark curly hair that naturally fell into place. Not to mention he had a very toned body. The top he wore always complimented his muscular arms. He was so attractive.

"Don't tell me, you got so much in tips that you're leaving this place." He asked
Hey, Henry. (You're so beautiful. I love your face.) I said whilst daydreaming about him.
"Um Lils?" He replied with a confused expression, snapping me out of my thoughts.
Oh, sorry. I was just daydreaming of what that would be like. Arthur made me think.
"Let me guess... Another Anna reference?" He questioned with a smirk and a small laugh.
How did u know? I returned the smirk and giggled.
"That would make around 7 today....and 10 yesterday. But nothing will top our Halloween party...20 in one day!" We both giggled, I remembered that day like it was yesterday.
Ugh don't remind me.
"Hey, you had a built-in costume. Sully made me dress up as a cowboy."
Don't make me remind him how much business we had thanks to your cowboy look. How does cowboy 'Thursday sound'?
"Alright, alright, I get the point. Sorry I shouldn't joke. I know it gets annoying. I don't know what I would do if I looked like a celebrity."
(You're already perfect.)
"Anyway, guess what?"
What?
"I got tomorrow off. Danny is going to take my shift." He explained.
That's great. I replied unsure of why he was telling me pointless information like that. I'm assuming he wanted to hang out.
"Speaking of days off. I was wondering if..."
If?? I said hurrying the boy to spit it out.
"Would you maybe want to grab something to eat?"
Like... a.. date?
"Yeah. A date." He answered as his face lit up into a smile.
Wow, um..(HALLELUJAH) I mean yeah, sure that sounds fun.
"Great." He said whilst scratching the back of his neck. "Should I pick you up at home or..."
I'll be at the hospital.
"Alright. How's you're sister doing?" He asked
Erm.. hanging in there. I replied, keeping my eyes Down.
"Guess that's the best you can hope for."
Yeah... anyway I've gotta go now.
"See you tomorrow." Waving as he walked away with a chuffed smile.
