The character of Yoshida Kumiko is entirely fictional, and if it seems to resemble someone else, that's a pure coincidence.

Her mother an Olympic gold medalist in karate, her father a highly successful taekwondo instructor, Kumiko was born into martial arts. Her mother would describe as a strong-willed, independent woman, her father embracing her more sensitive and intellectual side.
Her parents had her at the young age of 20, and therefore when her father was called back to South Korea to enlist for his mandatory military service, her parents had decided it best for her to leave with him. Her mother had a well-going karate dojo to look after in Tokyo, but Kumiko hadn't known why they decided to have her move with her father.
She wad unbeknownst to the many opportunities the new country would bring her; just six months living with her aunt in Seoul, her father having left for his service, she had started taking classes in various forms of martial arts. At the age of 16 she had a first degree black belt in karate, and solid black belts in judo and taekwondo.
Around 13 she discovered she not only had a passion for martial arts, but in a different area of art: singing and dancing (thanks to her future seniors, exo). This revelation led to her desire be an idol.
