George's eyes fluttered as he stretched against his mattress, unsure how he had even ended up in his bed in the first place. He remembers napping, getting food, then...
"Ohh..." George mumbled in pain.
George held his hand up to his head, which ached more than usual. He remembered now. He had almost kissed Dream. He fell asleep in his arms. He remembered the touch. The feeling of Dream so close to him, their bodies so close.
George swallowed away his dry throat before sitting up, letting his feet dangle from his bedside. He glanced out of the window. Grey light poured through the curtains, casting dimness in George's room. He could hear the pitter patters of rain against his window and the small rumbles of thunder every minute or so. It was almost calming, until the thought of his body against Dream's creeped back into his mind. He turned his head tiredly towards his nightstand as he glanced at his alarm clock. 8am...
8am! Shit- I have to go wake up Dream.
Twitchcon completely slipped his mind. He had other things to think about anyway. He quickly stood up, his legs almost giving out below him, and made his way towards Dream's room. He swung open his door, not even caring to close it behind him. He swiftly ran down the short hallway and to Dream's bedroom door. Without even knocking he swung open the door.
Shit.
"Oh- Dream I'm so sorry-" George quickly shut the door again as warmth made its way to his cheeks. He had just walked in on Dream shirtless. There were only two other times he had seen Dream shirtless. One morning when he was cooking breakfast, and when him, Sapnap, and Dream went to the beach. He reacted the same way. Maybe even worse. Sapnap was also shirtless, but he wasn't fazed by that. Now he waited outside in the hall, tapping his foot patiently as he tried to get rid of the picture of Dream shirtless so he would stop blushing.
Finally, Dream swung open the door, letting a gust of windy breeze hit George's back. He quickly spun around before quickly backing up and out of the doorway after realizing how close the boys were.
George opened his mouth to speak, but before any words could even escape his throat, Dream began talking.
"Sorry- I completely forgot about Twitchcon- on our way to the airport do you want to stop to go eat somewhere or something," Dream interrupted as he walked down the hall to the bathroom. George followed shortly behind.
George cleared his throat.
"I'm sorry for- for walking in on you."
"It's fine," Dream chuckled. "You've seen me shirtless before. It's no big deal."
But it was a big deal. George had liked Dream, and even though he was in denial now, he was still almost positive he liked Dream again. Ever since they kissed, something clicked in him. Like he realized something. Realized that those feelings for Dream in 2020 weren't actually dead. Yesterday made him think even more than he already did that he really did like Dream more than a friend. He remembered his journal.
I should write in it again. When I get back from California I'll start writing in it more. George mentally noted.
"When did you wake up," Dream asked, clicking on the bathroom light and reaching for his toothbrush.
"Like a few minutes ago," George shrugged, grabbing for his toothbrush as well.
"Same," Dream mumbled with his toothbrush already in his mouth.
"I forgot to send an alarm," George mumbled as well.
"I set an alarm but I think I didn't set it early enough." Dream spat toothpaste into the sink. The faucet gushed of water.
