I Got Out Of The Car Limping It Felt Like A Bruise Formed Against My Leg But It Didn't Feel Broken, Blood Was Running Down The Side Of My Face. My Vision Was Very Blurry, I Was About To Open The Car Door & I Blacked Out.

....Hours Later

I Woke Up In A Panic, My Heart Monitor Was Out Of Control. I Ran Out My Room & To The Receptionist Area Was.

"Excuse Me Ma'am, Do You Know What Room Kalani Thomas Is In? Please That's My Daughter!"

I Was Frantic, But My Only Child Could Be Hurting I Had To Find Her.

"Sir Please, Get Back In Your Room."

"She Would Be In The Women & Children Wing Of The Hospital Sir. We Have Contacted The Mother."

"Damn." Bre Is Going To Fucking Flip.

"Jacob Perez?" The Police Came To Me.

I Was Catching Up On Some Sleep, When My Phone Started Ringing.

Los Angeles Medical Is Calling...

What The Fuck Jake?!

"Hello?" I Said Startled.

"Is This The Mother Of Kalani Thomas?"

"Um Yes, Yes." I Said Frantically.

"Unfortunately We Cannot Release Her Condition Over The Phone, But Because Your Her Legal Guardian You Have To Be Here."

"Her Condition?! I'm On My Way Now!"

I Brushed My Hair, Pulled Some Jeans On, A Crop Top I Found, & My Wedges. I Grabbed My Keys, Sunglasses, & Phone Then Headed To The Hospital.

I Arrived And Went To Where They Keep The Children & Women. I Was About To Have A Break Down, Did He Feed Her Something She's Allergic Too? Did She Hurt Herself? What Happened?

"Hi I'm Kalani Thomas's Mother ? They Called And Said She Was Here ?"

"She's Down Here In The ER, We Put Her Here Because Of The Type Of Call. She Is Currently Sleeping Right Down, Because Of The Pain Medicine."

"Wait A Minute, What Happened?"

"She Was Involved In A Car Accident."

My Heart Dropped.

"She Is Doing Absolutely Fine, Just A Couple Of Bruises & A Deep Cut On Her Wrist."

"Do You Know What Room Her Father Is In? Jacob Perez?"

I Nodded And Thanked Her, Then I Went In The Room Kay Was In. My Baby, She Had Dried Tears On Her Face.. It Was A Bruise On Her Leg, Gauze & Bandages Wrapped Around Her Wrist.

"Baby?"

"Hey Mommy." She Said Slowly.

"How Are You Feeling?" I Said Kissing Her Forehead.

"Fine. Mommy Where's Daddy?"

"Daddy?"

I Didn't Expect Her To Call Him That So Soon..

"He's On The Other Side Baby, Listen I'm Going To Talk To The Nurse About Your Medicine & I'll Be Back Okay? Just Go Back To Sleep."

She Nodded & Closed Her Eyes.

I Headed Straight Towards The Other Side Of The Hospital, Jacob Is In For A Treat. I Got In The Elevator, Pushed 8 And Waited. I Got Out And Headed Towards His Room.

I Opened The Door To A Sleeping Jacob. He Had Gauze On His Head, A Cut On His Chest, & A Bruise On His Leg. I Walked Up To Him And Smacked Him.

"Get Your Ass Up Now And Explain!" I Yelled.

"Bre Listen, It Wasn't My Fault I Promise. It Was The Mans Fault He Had The Red Light."

"Jacob, You Guys Were Gone For 4 Hours! I Trusted You."

"Breunna, I Do Not Have Super Powers How Was I Suppose To See That He Was About To Hit Me?"

I Sighed.."I Don't Know, I'm Just Upset"

"I'm Going To Get My Daughter, I'll Bring Her To See You But..We're Going Home After."

"Breunna Please.."

I Closed The Door & Started On My Way To The Other Side Of The Hospital. When I Got There The Nurse Gave Me Some Ointment For The Cut, & They Released Kay. I Drove My Car To The Other Side, Parked & We Went Back In To See Jake, Who Was Also Getting Released.

The Police Had Bought Him, All Of His Belongings In His Jeep. There Were So Many Bags..

"Daddy!" She Smiled.

"Hey! My Favorite Girl." He Kissed Her Forehead.

They Talked And It Warmed My Heart..

"Kalani, Go Sit Down And Let Mommy & Prince Talk."

"My Daddy Mom!"

I Rolled My Eyes.

"Listen Bre I Want To Apologize I Should've Been Paying Attention, Even If It Was My Turn..I Never Mean't Any Harm. Kalani Is The Light Of My Life."

"Jake, Accidents Happen. I Know, But If She Gets Seriously Hurt..I'll Make Sure You Never See Daylight Again. I Love The Bond Y'all Are Creating..You Can Keep Her For The Rest Of The Weekend."

He Thanked Me & I Turned My Head Looking For Kalani. She Was Standing At The Reception Desk.

"Kalani Elise." I Said Sternly.

She Turned Around With A Sucker In Her Mouth.

"I Believe I Told You To Stay Over There." I Said Nodding My Head In The Direction Of The Chair.

She Walked Back Over And Sat Down.

Jake Didn't Have A Way Home Of Course, So I Took Them Back To His House. He Better Hope And Pray That The Rest Of This Week Goes Smoothly.

I'm Thankful Bre Let Me Keep Her, Before We Got To My House We Stopped By The Pharmacy & Then I Thought About Something..Ashley ! She'll Be Fine.
