CONFRONT

Chapter 1

Vivian's POV

It's been a long day ever since I started working at McDonald's, I thought to myself. I work five days a week and do nightshifts on Thursdays and Fridays until two in the morning. I find it so overwhelming, but it's just a part-time job. But then again I gotta catch up on my assignments before they go overdue. I really hope I don't fail my first year at Lorgebrick University! Shoot, it's seven-thirty in the morning! I gotta get ready! 

I sprang up from my bed and rushed into the bathroom. When I was brushing my teeth really fast like typical dads do, I accidentally hit my gum and it started to bleed. "Ouch!" I spat blood into the sink and quickly rinsed my mouth. My toothbrush had a little bit of blood smeared into it, so I washed that as well. I splashed water into my face and later dried my face with a towel. Great, now I need to pick an outfit! I hurriedly went over to my closet and started to throw clothes here and there out of my closet to find what to wear. I came across a white shirt, a pair of jeans, and a black hoodie. "Aha! Finally!" I then began to change from pajamas into my day outfit.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot my watch. I took my watch from my drawer and I checked the time. Oh, it's just 8:03 a.m. that's not as bad as the last time I finished getting dressed nearly ten minutes before my class started. I literally had to grab a quick coffee and sprint all the way to my class. It was so annoying! Why doesn't the class start at twelve in the afternoon?! Why does it have to start at fricken nine in the morning?! University does not want me to get my beauty sleep! I have eye bags under my eyes and dark circles, that make me look like a fricken zombie. I combed my hair and styled it into a simple low-bun and got my backpack, packed my things, and left my dorm room to head to the cafeteria. I walked up to the elevator and clicked on the downward arrow button. After two minutes, the elevator opened to a bunch of people in the elevator and I came in squeezing into people. Ugh! So crowded! Why do people have to come in whenever I need to go?! This is so frustrating! I told someone nearby to click on the cafeteria button for me but they didn't know how the button looks, so I had a difficult time telling where the button for the cafeteria was.

Why can't the cafeteria button have a symbol of a fork and spoon with a plate instead of a circle-shaped symbol? Almost all the buttons in the elevator have that similar symbol! Ugh, whatever it's just a Friday, I can get through this. Then, the elevator closed in from behind and started to move down from one floor to the next. The elevator stopped more frequently as people were getting off the elevator to their destinations. I was in the elevator for five minutes when the elevator stopped at the cafeteria. I ran out of the elevator as soon as the elevator door opened. So glad to be out of the elevator! I checked my watch to look at the time and it was 8:21 a.m. Alright, let me head to the cafeteria! I sprinted on my way to the double doors and reached for the doorknob and opened the door wide as I can, as I am always excited whenever I arrive at the cafeteria because I am a big FOODIE! Like who doesn't like food?! Haha! I walk up to the counter, got myself a tray, and started to fill it up with so many kinds of food.

Normally, the cafeteria food isn't that good because of the choices on the menu, but on Fridays, they have the best food! After filling up my tray, I go to a seat and placed my tray on the table. I sat there and looked to both of my sides to see if anyone is watching. Nobody was, so I started to shove food in my mouth like I was a hungry raccoon. A few people gave me nasty glances but I didn't care. All I cared is about good food! I finished eating and then I let out a loud and proud burp! But surprisingly no one turned their heads to look at me. Haha! And then I checked my watch, it was 8:33 a.m. I got up with my tray and disposed of all of my leftovers and placed my tray on the counter, where they pick up the dirty dishes and trays. I then head to the auditorium and sat in the front row. There were not that many people here at that time since it was 8:40 when I arrived. I sighed thinking about what I should do after class. Oh yeah, since I don't have that many clothes to make a good outfit, maybe I should buy clothes at the Janton Caroll center today! Okay, sounds like a plan! I am so excited, I can't way to shop! YESS!!! I accidentally yelled out loud but I am glad no one cared.

I closed my eyes for a bit and then I opened them back. I forgot to review my notes! I usually start the day by reviewing my notes from the day before to have them fresh in my mind every morning. I hurriedly opened up my bag and got my notebook and started to skim through the pages from yesterday's notes. I read slowly to understand the material very carefully and precisely. As soon as I finished reviewing my lesson, the bell rang and it was 9 a.m. I quickly grabbed my pen and pencil and got myself ready to prepare to take lecture notes. Then the class began.
