Chapter 1

2148, somewhere in Giad Federacy, 16:30

Lydia sat in the library with Eugene front of her. They were both engaged in the books they were reading.

Lydia Jäger and Eugene Rantz. They were best friends for a long time. Ever since Lydia got to the Giad federacy. No she wasn't an 86. She did however had to fight to come where she is. She was also from the republic but she wasn't white haired. The ends of her hair were black. So they made her go away. She didn't have to fight in juggernauts. But she was sent away. They said she was a devil and will bring hell to the country. After wandering around for a half year, a few federacy soilders found her.

After a year of being in the Federacy Lydia didn't remembered a thing from her life in the republic. Doctors said it's probably because of trauma her mind tries to push back the memories protecting Lydia. But she wanted to know. The only thing she has is a white scarf and a big scar on her neck.

Lydia has been living with Ernst ever since she got there. Plus now with Frederica who you could probably call the annoying little sister Lydia never wanted to have. But she secretly loves her even tho... Frederica is well... Frederica.

Lydia's ringing phone brought her out of her thoughts. Eugene and Lyds looked up at the same time.
Lydia fished her phone out of her bag and picked it up.

"Hallo?"- she said into the phone
"Moshi,moshi!"- she heard Ernst's happy voice.
"Can you come home? I have a suprise for you. I'll be home soon too."
"Ok. I'll be home around in 30 minutes."

Lydia said bye to Eugene and made her way home. She wondered what kind of suprise did Ernst wanted to show her.
As she was walind she looked around. Even tho she had Ernst and Frederica she like something was missing. It came to the point that Lydia couldn't ignore this feeling.

All of sudden she stopped in her tracks. She saw a shop selling mochi. An old lady looked out the window and waved Lydia in. The lady's smile was so warming. It reminded her of Ernst and Teresa's smile. Lydia went in the shop.

18:00 Giad Federacy, Zimmermann residence

The 86 and Ernst got to the Zimmermann residence. Ernst welcome all of them. Anju, Kurena, Theo, Raiden and Shin. They were about to go in when they heard a crash and screaming.
"Put the table away"
The 86 were confused. They had a big culture schock everything was new. They didn't know how to feel.

18:30 - with Lydia

Lydia sat in the small coffee. It had a really friendly aura. It reminded of when she frist came here.
The mochi was delicious, shhe decided to buy some to Ernst and Frederica. Actually this "some" was a lot.
Lydia looked at her watch and saw that ut's already 18:30. She didn't realized it was already this late. Lyds told Ernst that she would be there in 30 minutes.
She picked up her stuff and started running home.

18:45 Giad Federacy, Zimmermann residence

"Where is she? She said that she would be here in around 30 minutes"- Ernst started to get worried. It's getting dark and Lydia is still not here.
After everyone get to know each other, they all sat in the living room. They talked... well mostly Ernst talked.
"I'm sure she's fine."- said Teresa.
"When will she get here?!"- complained Frederica.
"Who is- strated Kurena but got interrupted when the door flew open.

Everyone of them looked towards it. It was Lydia. She was panting from running al the way here.
"Sorry for being late i was... "
"Lydia! Thank god you're okay!"- Ernst shouted.
Before she could adjust to her surroundings she was engulfed in a hug. Ernst hugged her.
"Oh right... the reason why i called you here. You got new siblings from now on."- he said happily.

Lydia was confused on what he meant but soom she saw all the people in the living room. She blushed remembering how she came in the house.
She looked at all of them.
"Oh yeah let's introduce yourselves. Let's start with you new ones here. Say something you like too so we know each other better"- Ernst said.
"Hi, i'm Anju. I really like cooking"- said a girl with a lavender colored hair. Lydia smiled at her. She herselfe loves to cook.
"I'm Kurena, I like shopping"- said a girl with red hair.
"The name's Theo, I like to draw."
"My name's Shin. There isn't any specific interest i have but i like to read"- Lydia's smile grew. She loved to read too.
"Really? We can go to the library together"- her eyes sparkled. Lydia really loved books.
It was like an escape from reality. Or a better reality.
"The name's Raiden i like to build and fix stuff i guess"
Lydia smiled at that. She was really clumsy with that kind of stuff so she admired the ones who can do such things.

Raiden stopped breathing for a moment. The way Lydia's eyes sparkled and the way she blushed. The world stopped around them a second but Ernst's voice bought them back into reality.

"Ok, now Lydia you go"
Lydia thought for a moment. She wanted to say something that would made them feel nice. Because when Lydia looked at their eyes. They were empty. And tired.

"Hi everyone, my name's Lydia and well... i liked to read and gardening.... plus i also really like to play guitar. I hope you'll feel good here and don't be
afraid to tell anything."

Everyone was mesmerised. Well maybe not Shin. But her voice and her words made the 86 feel warm. Her shiny eyes and smile made them feel welcomed and wanted. For maybe the first time in their life.
