Hello! I'm glad to finally start this story, properly, I mean. Well, I hope this one will be quite enjoyable to read.
Tyson's POV
I leaned against the car seat, staring at the window as my mother spoke to me. "-son? Tyson!" She exclaimed, glaring at me. I shot my head round to face her, "What?" I asked, shifting my body into a new position. She rolled her eyes, pointing out the window.
I gasped, pressing my palms against the windows. "It's huge!" I exclaimed, my breath steaming up the window. My mom chuckled, parking our car in a parking lot nearby.
I stumbled slightly out the car, moving over to the boot, where my bag was, and may I say, it was HUGE. I grabbed one of the straps, heaving it onto my back, with a little bit of an effort.
The school was big, very, very, very big... Almost too big.. I had no idea how I was ever gonna learn where all the classes were. I groaned, waving my mom off as she drove out the parking lot, leaving me alone in the car park. I sighed, turning back round to face the school. I walked closer to the school.
It'd felt like years before I finally reached the door. I reached forward to grab the handle, tugging it open, being greeted with the warm air of the school. I grabbed a map that I'd gotten at my last visit, scanning over the different areas before my eyes landed on the room called "Principals office".
I smiled. 'Thank god it's a Sunday..' I thought, walking along the corridors, following the map, occasionally coming across other students. I breathed a sigh of relief as I came across a room labelled 'Principals office'. I hesitated before pushing the door open.
I was met with the headteacher sat at her desk, smiling warmly at me, welcoming me inside the room. She gestured toward a chair opposite her, making me automatically walk towards the chair, sitting down immediately. I glanced quickly around the room, spotting a piano in the corner and lots of paperwork and books, mostly paperwork though.
I gave her a weak smile in return, noticing her looking at me expectantly. "You must be.. Tyson.. Tyson Turner?" She asked, looking down at her paperwork.
I nodded, resting my elbows on the table. "So, I have your schedule here, along with your dorm keys, would you also like to know who your roommates are?" She questioned, I shook my head as she stood up from her chair, hunting through a cabinet, supposedly for my schedule.I heard her sigh with a smile, pulling out a piece of laminated paper from the cabinet and passing it to me. My eyes trailed faintly over the different subjects, studying the timetable. I smiled, tucking it in my hoodie pocket. "Oh! And here's your dorm keys, dorm 131," She told me, handing me the keys as well.
I grinned, stepping out of the principals office. 'Now to find dorm 131...' I thought, looking around the hallways. 'Aha! Dorms.' I thought, smiling mentally, walking in the direction of the dorms. Dorm 129... Dorm 130... Dorm 131! I pulled the key out of my pocket, pushing it into the keyhole, turning it, then unlocking it.
I breathed gently, before hesitantly pushing the door open, being met with two males. They both turned their heads toward me as the door creaked open.
One of them was on the floor cross legged, a book in hand, whilst the other was leaning against the wall, scrolling through their phone. I swallowed, wrapping my arms around my body uncomfortable. "Hello, I'm Cameron," The boy on his phone said, putting his phone into his pocket.
Cameron was wearing a green hoodie along with beige trousers that only just reached his ankles and his hair just reached his shoulders, making it long for a male. Cameron turned around, frowning at the other boy who hadn't moved. "This is Vincent," Cameron said, gesturing to the other male on the floor. I already knew that I wouldn't like him.
Cameron's POV
I sighed calmly, sitting on my bed across from Vincent. I was upset that he hasn't spoken to our new roommate yet, but, nether the less, I couldn't exactly be mad at him.
I saw Tyson looking around, not really knowing what to do. I smiled warmly at him. "Me and Vincent will go on a walk, make yourself at home," I told him, standing up and grabbing Vincent's wrist, pulling him out the door.
He groaned softly, pulling against me to lean against the wall. Vincent glared at me. "Why do we need to leave!? I'm tired!" He complained. I rolled my eyes at him, taking hold of his wrist again and pulling him through the hall. He caught up with me - eventually, and we started to talk, mainly about random stuff.
I've known Vincent for my whole childhood, and we have a very strong bond. We've grown up together and we are pretty much inseparable.
Lately, I've been having thoughts about my relationship with him. I mean - my chest keeps tightening whenever I see him, I know exactly what it is, it's love, but I -
I felt Vincent's hand suddenly grab mine tightly as we stepped out into the cold air. I pulled my hand out of his, pulling my hoodie off and offering it to him, he hesitated, taking hold of it slightly. "Are you sure?" He murmured, the goosebumps visible on his arms. I nodded pushing the hoodie closer to him. Vincent held it tighter, sighing, pulling it over his head and hugging it close to him. I smiled.
We were sat at a bench, it's probably been an hour since we left the dorm. We were exhausted. Vincent rested his head against my shoulder, listening to the gentle sound of owls hooting and the distant whirr of the restaurant in the distance.
Vincent yawned tiredly. "Cam, can we go back?" He mumbled, raising his head from my shoulder - with effort. I smiled at him, nodding.
We started to walk back to the school together, side by side. The warm air hit us suddenly as we entered the school, making us jump a little. We headed straight for the dorms, considerably slow.
We took our time, eventually reaching dorm 131. I heard Vincent breathe a sigh of relief, leaning against the wall as I unlocked the dorm. I rolled my eyes at him, pushing him inside. We both collapsed onto our beds, Tyson glanced at us confusedly. "Have you guys been drinking?" He asked us, resting his phone on his bedside table. He glanced over mine and Vincent's features quickly, mentally noting our behaviour. Vincent breathed out a reply, "N-No.. We're just tired."
Tyson hummed, "Okay then, goodnight."
Word count - 1172 words. Alright, first chapter done! Any ideas for the chapter 2? Also, I'll try to make each chapter 1000 - 2000 words.
