Vicky sighs loudly, "Come on do you really think I am that stupid?"
I interject, "Do you want me to answer that?"
She flips me off while not looking at me. "I knew this idiot was going to tag along for our trip that we take every single year with the group the moment he popped up right next to you two days ago and I already threw all my tantrums."
Haley then expresses, "The people we need to worry about are the others because they will probably not be very happy about this, Eve."
She lifts her shoulders. "If there is an issue then it is unfortunate. It is my family's house, it is my trip, on my expenses. If they want to slit their wrists over me taking my boyfriend with me then I can always direct them to the nearest knife."
I then chuckle. "Glad to see you accepted me being around, Vicky."
"This is the most I've heard this motherfucker talk and I swear he is doing this on purpose just to spite me."
"No he talks my ear off every single night," Evelynn says with a smile before winking at me.
"You don't listen."
She lifts her head with shut eyes, almost like she is proud of herself.
Haley then asks, "I am still confused about how you two of all people got together, which also is going to lead me to ask, how the fuck did this happen?"
I pull my gaze away from the conversation and stare through the window. "Does it really matter?"
"I guess not."
Evelynn chuckles. "You won't catch him wanting to talk to it and pretty much everything I will ever say he will deny so you can try to put the pieces together your own way."
"No fucking way, there is no way you caught feelings for him first."
"Hear that," I glance back at Evelynn, "I don't catch feelings first."
I scoff. "Admit that you were the one that made a move on me and not the other way around."
"Me? Make a move?"
"Look at me. Do I look like someone that goes out of his way to hold a conversation just for the sake of it? It definitely came from you."
Vicky sighs, "It is like when two people are in on a joke and the rest of us are trying to find out who is lying and I just hate both of you equally right now."
We both transfer our gazes to her. Evelynn then states, "I am pretty sure that you've known me for longer."
She looks at me. "I don't know Eve. This guy is like if you were a dude, a shut-in, and a recluse."
Evelynn looks at me again. "Told you, we are more alike than you think."
"This again?"
"Hm mhm. Going to remind you every single time till you start realizing that the two of us are pretty similar in a lot of regards."
She knows it is not true, she is doing it to try and make me agree with her way of thinking or just to justify the things she does in a way that I don't find idiotic or wicked. There is a lot about her that you can argue is good.
But just like everyone else, there is a lot about Evelynn that makes her a dangerous person to fall for and the main reason is that she is manipulative and she doesn't try to hide it. That's the scary part, she is confident in her manipulation.
Then again there is that recurring thing.
I think she thinks that at the end of this, I am going to fall for her and then use that against me; she'll brush it off saying that she knew how it was going to end, and then continue to reject me if that is the case.
I should make a point by getting her to fall for me instead.
Problem is that is never going to happen from either of our ends.
It's like two people trying to prove a point and both of them are stubborn as fuck.
"So how are we going to handle the whole driving situation?"
Evelynn lifts her hands into a shrug. "Will have to figure it out when we get the group together, we already have to figure out pretty much a lot of things before we can really do anything over there as well."
"Like sleeping arrangements?" Vicky chuckles.
"We do the same thing we usually do. The guys can take the downstairs bedrooms and the girls take the upstairs bedrooms just to make it easy. And because my bedroom is up there and I am not going to give that up for anyone else."
The bell then rings signaling the end of class.
We all lift ourselves and head for the cafeteria for our lunch. "We don't really have a lot of things planned either so a lot of it is going to be up in the air on how we are going to spend our time."
"With all the drama waiting to happen with (Y/N) around, I can't wait!" Haley winks at me.
"I feel special already."
"You are," Evelynn glances at me over her shoulder, "maybe not so much for the rest but for me, you are pretty high on the list."
"A list?" Vicky snorts. "Am I up there somewhere?"
"Somewhere." Evelynn nods.
"Thanks for doing everything but answering the question."
"I do my best~"
