To say that Bailey easily over-estimated her state of mind was an under statement. Why is that you may ask? Because here she was just the next day after getting a phone call from a psychopath getting off the bus to school.Bailey was well aware she had a habit of ignoring her trauma and problems. She had to move forward because the world wasn't going to stop for her was it? Homework would keep coming, people would keep graduating and loved ones would always die.
Her paranoia hadn't faded even slightly and why would it? He was still out there. The only thing Bailey could do about it was be cautious. Check wardrobes before relaxing and constantly call her friends and Sydney. Many people would have linked her worry with fear but they were wrong. Little Bailey Prescott was full of anger and god help the poor bastard who had flipped that switch.
With an irritated sigh Bailey began pushing her way through the staring horde of her fellow classmates. Familiar voice filled Bailey's ears making her turn towards the source of the noise. Just a few feet ahead was Tatum and Stu bickering at the former's locker. Stuart reached into the girl's locker and pulled out a mirror from behind her head and began inspecting his forehead. Bailey noticed a dark, nasty bruise under his hair.
First person
"How'd you get that Macher?" I asked once in front of the couple. Stuart's eyes widened like a cartoon before he shoved the mirror back away.
"Get what B?" He asked, fanning a puzzled look into his face.
Just as I open my mouth to argue back Sydney make her way towards us with a worried frown.
"Hey, I haven't seen Billy around. Is he really pissed?" Sydney asks after a few seconds of silence. Stu stares at me for a couple more seconds before finally flickering his eyes over to Sydney.
"Oh, you mean after you and B branded him the Candyman? No his hearts broken." He replies back mischievously before being shoved by Tatum.
A look I could've never even imagined crossed his eyes. Something worse than hatred flooded into his eyes as he looked at his girlfriend of almost a year. Stu must have caught my confused stare because as quick as it was there, the look in his eyes was gone in a flash. It was replaced by his normally lovable grin. But something was off about it this time, this wasn't a loveable grin. This was a predator bearing his teeth and I dont think I want to know which of us was his intended prey was.
Crazy screams interrupt me from my train of thoughts. I quickly spin towards the source of noice to see someone dressed in the same costume as the killer runnning down the hall towards us screaming like a maniac.
As they quickly approach us I move towards my locker which is situated just in front of Stu and i open it. Effectively hitting the idiot in the face with my locker door. With a hurt yelp the person falls down clutching their nose.
I spin around and shove past a cackling Stu who quickly shuts up after catching sight of my upset face.
"Don't be like that Bailey." He yells after me just as I'm about to turn the corner of the hallway. With nothing left to say to him I throw my hand up behind myself and flip him the bird.
After continuing down the hall for a bit longer the bell rings and everyone floods towards their classes. Once everyones cleared out I take a seat on the stairs and sigh.
Out of nowhere a hand clamps down onto my shoulder making me jump and throw my elbow back into the person's gut. A familiar groan fills my ears and I turn to see none other than Billy Loomis hunched over and holding onto his stomach.
