Hotel Del Luna (호텔 델루나)
Year 1998
A father and his son are sitting on a bench near the Han river. "Son" says the father. "It's your birthday today, but I can't even buy you jajangmyeon." "It's all right. I'm not hungry." says the son.
I t becomes silent for some time. A couple pass by them, the father looks at the couple and gets off the bench and with his feet drags a note of money from the ground. His son sees that and his father mouths something to him. The son nods a 'No' and moves his dad's feet.
He takes the money and says "Mister" and goes to the couple. While his father said "Hey, son". "You dropped your money." says the son. The stranger says "Thank you.".
Then an old man comes and says "Oh, dear. You're such a good boy.". He was carrying a basket full of white flowers. He looked eerily familiar. Looks almost exactly like the old man that Minho met. I will tell you something as the narrator. This old man's name is Kim Seokjin. You will find out more about him later on.
"You have a handsome forehead and twinkling eyes. You have a very auspicious face." says Jin. "It's your birthday today?". "Tell me the year and hour you were born.". "Hey, Mister. We're not buying flowers. Just go your way." says the father getting up from the bench and walking towards the other two.
"Oh, dear. Your early years were so unlucky that you were born to a father like him." says Jin. The father sighs and gives a 'fed up' kind of look. "But it's not an ill-fated relationship." says Jin. "Having a hard life early on means getting rid of your bad luck in advance for your good fortune.".
"What? "Bad Luck?" ". says the father. "How can you talk such rubbish just to sell flowers to a kid?". "Son, just wait. I'll make lots of money and buy you your birthday present.". "Present??" asks the son. "Flowers!" yells Jin. "Flowers are the best present for birthdays.". "I'm not buying flowers!". "Flowers are fine too." says the son.
