It was as if half of Jimin's soul was ripped off from him.
The police investigation stated Jin's death was an accident, ruling out a foul play as they examined the scene. The coroner confirmed it, too, saying he died due to miscarriage hemorrhage.
They chose to keep Jin's death private.
They never informed Taehyung.
Jimin would slit his own throat before he could.
Who was he, anyway?
He was just the man who broke Jin's heart, leaving him without a word all because he was getting married to another man.
Jungkook took care of everything, since Jimin couldn't even wake up without sobbing his heart out. He decided, with Jimin's approval, to bring Jin's and his unborn son's bodies to Busan. When they arrived there, Jimin and Jungkook's families were there to help them prepare for the funeral. They mourned with them, because they loved Jin also—saw him as a good and hardworking person with a beautiful heart.
As Jin's only living family member which they knew, Jungkook took the responsibility of informing Namjoon about his brother's untimely death for formality's sake.
Namjoon came on the second day.
Jimin just watched him from the side, wailing in agony as he kneeled in front of his only hyung's casket.
"Hyung... Jin hyung... I'm sorry... Sorry... Come back... I'll... I'll make.. everything... right... Make it up... to you... Hyung!"
Jungkook propped him up, consoling him.
But Jimin wanted the ungrateful boy to hurt, to grieve some more.
He remained silent, not giving him any solace.
It was too late to rebuild the brotherhood he was crying about.
Jin died thinking his brother didn't care for him.
On the fourth day of the funeral, Jungkook pulled him away to the side. He glanced at him, questioning as he noticed his husband's antsy face.
"What's going on?"
"Please calm yourself." It made Jimin cautious. "Mr. Min is here."
It was enough to rankle Jimin and storm off to find him.
"Babe!" Jungkook called out, but he didn't stop.
Jimin finally saw Min Yoongi standing outside of the funeral home, dressed in funeral clothes. This infuriated Jimin more.
How dare these people!
"What the fuck are you doing here, huh?!?" Jimin screamed with tears in his eyes, swatting Jungkook's hand gripping around his arm when he tried pulling him away. "What do you want more from a dead man!?!"
