Abandoned

Screams could be heard through the mists. The screams of Worker Drones being torn, disassembled, and murdered. Khan had watched his wife die, the Murder Drones nanite acid slowly tearing her apart from the inside-out. To put her out of her misery, he took Uzi and finished off his wife with a wrench. He hated having to do it, but it made it a quick death so she wouldn't suffer in her last moments. But Uzi was crying too much, and it brought the Murder Drones attention towards him.

"N, we've got another one over here!" One of the female Murder Drones shouted, pointing towards Khan. The male Murder Drone flew over to her, looking at Khan before he flew straight at him. Khan turned on his heel and ran, but his legs were meant to make him run slow and the Murder Drone was gaining on him. With a quick decision, he turned around to look at the Murder Drone. "Sorry, Uzi." He whispered, before planting a kiss on her forehead and throwing her at the Murder Drone. When the Murder Drone caught her, he turned on his heel and ran as fast as he could, joining a group of Worker Drones who dragged him into a small crawl space where they could hide until the Drones left.

"Yo, Khan. You good?" One of the Workers whispered, noticing how Khan was crying. "Where's Nori? And Uzi?" They asked, grabbing Khan's shoulder reassuringly. Khan stayed silent, before taking a breath and looking at the Worker.

"Nori is dead. And I.." He paused for a second. "The Murder Drones have Uzi. We can only hope they take mercy on her since she's so young." The Worker Khan was talking to looked at him, and everyone was quiet for a long while. When the screams outside finally stopped, Khan peered outside to see if the Murder Drones had left. When there was no sign of them, he crawled out and signaled the others to follow him but stay cautious. They did, and they walked away from the scene of dead Drone bodies, everyone looking for potential survivors or other hiders. They found a few more groups of hiders, and everyone was frantic reuniting with family members. Khan just walked around the bodies until he found Nori's, holding her hand while the nanites still worked away at her body.

"I'm sorry, Nori. I've failed to protect our little girl." He said, tear.exe appearing on his screen yet again. When he finally got up he started looking around again, wondering if the Murder Drones might've spared Uzi and tossed her to the side, or if he could find Uzi's body and resurrect her code. But, he couldn't find his daughter. Not even a body. Finally admitting defeat, he joined the other Worker Drones as they began to walk off to find a place to hide. Taking one last look at the corpses, he tread after them.

This is my first time writing a Murder Drones fic, and I will be taking slight inspiration from other fanfics. The main one at this current moment would be Mother J - Written by @NecronLord22

I will be adding aspects of my own, but I will be adding a few minor aspects from their story. I'll try my best not to mass copy or do major aspects of their story. But I hope y'all will enjoy the story!
