The fight was over, and Paris was in ruins. He'd managed to capture and purify the akuma, releasing the victim from Monarchs control. Though it had been hard without his lady by his side.He looked at the lucky charm, hesitant to throw it in the air.
What if it didn't work? What if she didn't return? What would he do then?
There was no other way to find out than to try. Hopefully, luck was on his side in this suit.
"Miraculous Misterbug!"
With the golf of ladybugs swooping over Paris, she returned. Having a surprised look on her face, she took in her surroundings. Being brought back like this was certainly a... unique experience. She hadn't doubted him for a second; she'd always known he could do it...
"It wasn't even that bad.." she mumbled.
"Mylady!" Misterbug ran to her, enclosing her in a tight embrace. "Never do that again! I was so scared..." He started sobbing.
She stroked his hair, hugging him back with her other arm. "It's okay, I'm here and I'm fine. We're both fine. Besides, you constantly sacrifice yourself; it was my turn this time."
He clasped his arms around her even tighter and whispered in her ear: "Promise me you'll never sacrifice yourself again; that's my job. What if I failed? What if the lucky charm hadn't brought you back? I can't live without you."
"Chat-" she distanced herself from him, allowing her to look into the green eyes she loved, as she spoke. "-I knew you wouldn't fail. Besides, you're not one to make demands: you're constantly sacrificing yourself, knowing fully welI I can't live without you either."
"I would sacrifice myself a thousand times if it meant saving you" he whispered.
"Oh kitty..."
