A disciple wearing pure white robes scrolled through the headquarters of the Lan Sect, trying not to break a rule or two along the way. He got many stares due to the child in his arms that he was carrying.
He would, really, run to speak for this incident. But, as he is from the Lan Sect, he is instructed not to break them. Running is prohibited after all.
He had to report this to the elders. Who is he to ignore a child with such horrible injuries beneath him? There was blood all around the younger's body, and he could only assume the child was about 13.
He didn't dare assume which sect the younger came from, he had no proper robes on himself and the only visible thing onto him is his unusual crimson red hair and blood spreading all across himself.
The white robes swam and rippled around his small frame like a snake's skin. He held onto the boy tight, hoping to stop any further injury from occurring. The boy's breaths became weaker but it did nothing to calm the manor of panic. He just couldn't let anything happen. He had to get this child to heal and make sure the child is safe afterwards.
As he turned the corner into another room nearing to the Elder, the closest being Lan Qiren, a figure stepped out and looked at him in alarm. It was none other than Lan Wangji's brother, Lan Xichen or Lan Huan.
"Who is the child?" Lan Xichen asked cautiously. His eyes roamed over the child as if to find something amiss. He probably thought the older male was up to no good.
"Please, help me get him to the healers," The Disciple begged. "This child is injured and needs treatment immediately."
" I have found him near the borders, i do not know how the child came in but i found him through the scent of blood. " The Disciple continued and his voice was shaky and quiet, probably due to the fact his hands that were carrying the child were, too, shaking.
Lan Xichen sighed and nodded in understanding. "Follow me then."
"Thank you, Sect Leader," The Disciple bowed respectfully before continuing to follow Lan Xichen and carrying the injured youngster. Lan Xichen's face displayed an exasperated expression as he followed after the disciple to tend to the major and minor wounds on the injured red head. The two continued in silence, each one deep in their own thoughts, wondering what was going on. The only sound that could be heard was those of shuffling footsteps and heavy breathing.
The Disciple kept taking quick second glances at the pale face of the young man that he was carrying. This kid was so young. Too young. So innocent.
Why did it look like he had seen death already?
No, that's wrong.
That must be because of the situation. This little kid was definitely traumatized and there had to be an explanation as to why. Maybe the boy had been attacked by some animal, but that made no sense. It was not possible for an animal to injure a child this much.
A couple stab wounds.
Scars on the body of the child.
Open wounds, some small some not.
And the most obvious being the large scar on the forehead of the child..
That left the disciple to shiver, what did the child have to go through to get that scar? What sort of animal did it take out of its mouth to cause such a horrifying injury on the child? Was it even possible for such an animal to exist? And where did they come from?
The Lan Sect would have been aware of a beast living upon the Sect already.
Why did it attack the child in the first place?!
