The Watchtower

the stranger

Waking up Andy spits out one of his feathers and goes to make himself some berries and yogurt for breakfast. Once he's done making his breakfast he
goes to the window to sit and eat, looking out the window he spots something in the near distance. At first Andy wasn't worried about this... until he remembered he lives in an abandoned watchtower, alone, with zero people for miles around.
Rushing to turn on the radars and cameras, the radar says whatever is on its way has a heartbeat, slightly scared Andy rushes back to the window to look at this figure. It's much closer now.
Andy now panicking runs downstairs to the cupboard near an entryway  and grabs a weapon and uniform.
Putting on his uniform as fast as he can Andy ties his hair up and bursts out the door.
Spreading his wings and tucking them behind his back to dive through the air, he lands with a thump on the ground in front of the stranger.
Now pointing his gun at the stranger he tosses handcuffs at them and says "put the cuffs on now or I will shoot you."
The stranger not saying a word takes off his cloak so that Andy recognizes his species a cooper hawk and  very hesitantly puts down his bag. slowly bending down and putting on the hand cuffs, hearing the click of the handcuffs locking a small light on the handcuffs turning green telling Andy the handcuffs have been locked in place. Andy now reaches down and picks up the cloak and bag, gun still pointing at the stranger he says "were going to the watchtower"  and points in the general direction, the stranger nodded and said "please be careful with the bag" and started walking, Andy staying close behind him.
Once arriving at the base of the watchtower Andy puts the man in a small jail cell, after making sure that the cell was secure and that the camera was on, Andy searched through the cloaks pockets and found a half eaten apple a few pins and a switchblade, suddenly hearing a cry from the bag Andy opens it to find a song thrush chick (baby) surprised Andy picks it up and lays it on the ground next to him, shaking away the shock Andy continues to search the bag and found some food water and some supplies. picking up the chick, Andy put the strangers things in a locker and locked it, shoving the key in his back pocket he walked towards the cell that held the stranger. the chick pulling on his hair, he winced a little.
Now looking at the stranger through the cells bars he asks "What's your name?" answering very politely the stranger says "my name is Samuel, and yours?" Answering Samuels question Andy says "my name is Andy. I will ask you a few more questions, is that alright with you?" pointing out the chick with his eyes Andy says " why was a chick in your backpack and why is she a different species from you?"
Samuel giggles a bit as the chick leans in and chirps at him "the "chick's" name is wren, and I'd very much like for you to give her back to me." Andy looking at Samuel with a 'what's your deal' kind of look says "I'd like for you to confirm why you have Wren" Samuel now slightly irritated asks "why should I tell you? I don't owe you an answer. right?". Andy sighs and says "would you rather talk in a room instead of through a wall?"
