"Okay so I gave you guys some money just in case you need to buy anything. You can probably ask the other kids about that sorta thing." My dad handed us a bundle of cash. "Keep that in a safe place please. I don't want you two to get robbed."
"Dad." My twin brother Avery tiredly said from my left.
"You have my phone number right? I wanna make sure you can call me whenever you need to."
"Dad!" Avery said again.
"What? Sorry am I worrying too much again?" Dad scratched the back of his neck.
"Yes." My brother and I simultaneously replied.
"I'm sorry. I just worry about you two."
"We'll be fine." I assured him.
"Papa Nihil and Sister Imperator will take good care of us."
"Okay." My father's eyes became teary.
Oh Satan is he gonna start crying.. I exchanged a look with Avery.
"I love you guys so much." He pulled us into a hug.
"Love you too Dad.."
"Wait! I gotta get a picture of you before you leave!" He pulled his phone out of his back pocket.
"Do we have to?" I huffed as my brother pulled me into a side hug.
"Just smile and get it over with. We won't see him for the next four years." He muttered before grinning, holding up a peace sign.
"Alright sayyy Lucifer!" Dad gave us a goofy grin from behind his phone.
"Lucifer!" We forced a smile as he snapped a photo.
"One more!"
"Dad!"
"Please just one more picture!" He raised his phone again. "My babies are off to their first year in the Ministry! I'm so proud!"
"Turn the camera off!"
"Alright sorry!" The car pulled up the driveway. "One more hug before you go!" Dad pulled us into another back breaking embrace.
"We gotta go." I grabbed my luggage as the bus pulled into the driveway.
"I love you!! Don't forget to call!!"
"We won't!"
"Have fun!! Make some friends!" Our father continued to call out things to us as we placed our bags into the luggage compartment and piled into the bus where a few others were already seated.
"He's so embarrassing.." Avery muttered.
"Shut up." I mumbled in reply, looking out the back window as my dad got smaller and smaller before disappearing.
