Author's Note:
I Never Knew: Poetry & Observations by LumosGranger
I have wanted to share my poetry on this website for quite a long time. In fact, when I joined that was originally my intent. But I found that my poetry was very personal to me, even more so than my short stories, and so I decided to keep it to myself. I was not prepared to be so vulnerable or raw.
However, I feel now is the time. I am finally ready to share. It has taken me over a year, but I feel like I can now publish my poetry on wattpad. But if anyone tries to steal it, I will immediately delete this story, as this is one thing I cannot handle being stolen or replicated in any way.
The title comes from a poem I recently wrote about my experience with a certain boy, but that is not what it's relating to. As I've grown older, I have learned that there are so many things I never knew, so many things I will probably never really know, and so many things I would like to learn. I have accepted that I will never know everything, but I would like to know as much as I can. I would like to learn and experience, to never become too jaded or hurt to see the beauty in life. I would like to discover even more I never knew.
This book, in certain ways, is my journey to do just that in the form of poetry. This is probably the most vulnerable thing I will put on this website outside of my short story Ana, and I hope that it will be appreciated.
As I said, these are deeply personal poems and if I catch anyone stealing them, the book immediately goes down. I just can't allow anyone to steal any of my work, but especially this.
Anyway, onto the poetry. Hope you enjoy!
