"Give no but help achieve yes. Haven't you noticed yet?"

"Noticed what? Stop playing games with me old man."

"You smell and look like human but there is something off. I've noticed it when you were talking with Kyrrn. That something was rising than but now its settled, calm. Tell me of your parents."

Frowning, I obeyed, "My father is a general of the United State Army and my mother is a secretary-"

"Tell me your father's name?" The mention of my father seemed to peek his interest which made me interested as well.

"My father's name is Braylon." I answered still at a lost about how my father's name would help solve what I am.

"Ah, that makes sense now." He mumbled to himself.

"What makes sense tell me!?" I demanded, irritated.

"What has your father told you about his history and us?"

"That before he became a general, he fought on the side of you guys but that everything changed when you guys raided our world."

He held up his hand, signaling for me to stop. "That's enough for now. What you mostly said is true. Yes your father fought on the side of us for a while but that was because he was one of us."

I turned my head just in time to see a black shape burl into the animal. Both creatures went rolling throughout the cave. Trying to distinguish the animal from whatever it was, it was fighting was almost impossible but it became easy when the attacker got off the animal and stood in front of me protectively.

"Go." The creature's voice sliced through my head. "Run, as fast and as far you can. I'll hold it off." He growled.

Ignoring the creature, I looked at the animal to see that its gaze once again was directed towards me.

"Anna, go." He put in more softly. "It won't kill me. It will only kill its target which happens to be you."

Seeing sense in what he was saying, I looked once more at him, hoping that he was right before I begin to run.

Running past the two, my legs seemed to move even faster than they ever had before as the animal roared, letting everyone, everywhere know that it had lost its kill. The sound reverberated through my body, making me shake myself before I focused on running.

If he was right than that creature would catch up to me sooner or later. I needed to get as much as a head start as I could. But where could I go? The town where the guards might kill the animal but if the animal somehow got past the guards than there was no telling how many people might get hurt and regardless of how they treated me, I won't let that happen. If I tried to find Clyde and Torin, they would be more likely to kill me than they would the animal. I needed to find Kyrrn but where was he? Kyrrn, I roared hoping that where ever he was, there was a small chance that he may hear me. The creature's training popped into my mind. The animal was big and by first sight it didn't seem to be a climber. I could climb taking the chance that it couldn't climb but if it could I would at least get a small start. I could think about plan B.

The animal roared again this time the roar was answered by the all too familiar creature's voice.

I need to ask him what his name is if I ever get through this. I reminded myself just as I heard a thump as something huge hit rock behind me. Not risking it, I kept looking ahead willing my legs to move farther and faster.

"If he was one of you than why was he allowed in the states?" I asked in disbelief.
