In the Vanilla Kingdom, Vanilla Syrup Cookie sighed.

"Rejected.. and I was so close too..."

She was almost going to be deemed one of the best writers by KNN, Kingdom News Network, a network that covers day-to-day news on the Kingdoms of Earthbread. "How many times will I have to try and finally get accepted...?"

The fifteen year-old Cookie mentally weeped. She never liked getting rejected by the place she dreamed of working at when older. She looked at her story book and quickly flipped through it, frowning.

"I guess I have to keep trying..." she mumbled, going back to her home to write, before getting a notification from her device. "Hm...?"

In the Hollyberry Kingdom, Choco Rose Cookie was painting a picture for his dear friend--Red Velvet Cookie.

"You think he'll like it?" He asked the air, placing down his art tools and staring at the painting.

"...I hope so too... He's my dearest friend, plus, I'm relieved I get paid a lot by him... usually enough to provide myself with stuff.." He frowned a bit, knowing the usual amount he was paid from commissions--around 20 or under crystals.

He sighed. "I wish I got paid more...--" The TV in his place beeped and turned on, as Choco Rose Cookie looked curiously.

Both devices suddenly displayed a broadcast from KNN.

"This just in on Kingdom News Network!-- As we don't usually cover this, there's been sightings of an..." The reporter shuffled their papers a bit.

"A floating green orb-like being within the Roll Cake Forest, as some Vanilla Kingdom denizens informed us!" The screen with the reporter flashed to another reporter and two Vanillians. "How do you two feel about this, as you two are the ones who informed us about it?"

"We hope it isn't dangerous, or another thing sent by Dark Enchantress Cookie to cause another war..." one of the Vanillians said, the other one nodding with a frown on their face.

Vanilla Syrup Cookie immediately dashed to the Roll Cake Forest, as Choco Rose Cookie took his art tools for defending himself and left the Hollyberry Kingdom to find the floating orb.

Vanilla Syrup Cookie saw the floating orb as she entered the forest. It was green and glowed a faint white. "So that's what it is...!" She said. It seemed like the orb saw her as it descended and glowed brightly as it touched the ground. Vanilla Syrup Cookie slowly approached it, covering her eyes, as it turned into... a Cookie?

Vanilla Syrup Cookie looked at the Cookie in surprise, as they slightly reminded her of the Ancient Cookie, White Lily Cookie. She shook the Cookie, trying to wake them up.

"Hey... Hey...! Are you okay..?" She asked worried, frowning. The Cookie slowly opened her eyes, groaning.

"...Where am I...? Wh... Who are you...?" She asked, voice slightly echoing, her eyes softly looking at Vanilla Syrup Cookie's eyes. "I'm Vanilla Syrup Cookie."

"..Madonna Lily Cookie..." Madonna Lily Cookie softly said, stumbling to get up, before falling on her knees. "Hey, hey-- let me help you!" Vanilla Syrup Cookie smiled, supporting Madonna Lily Cookie as she stood up. "Ah, um... thank you...?"
