Four years later...
"Just to confirm your Maisie R. Baker, is that correct?" The doctor asked, looking at her file. They are in a white conference room with the painting on the beach plastered all over the walls. In Front of Maisie is a cup of water the doctor gave her when she walked in. "Yes, that's correct," Maisie replied with a nod. "Are we expecting anyone else this evening?"
"Oh yes my partner Jonathan, it will be a while though he is parking the car as we speak. You can carry on though." The doctor smiles and nods her head looking back at her folder and reading it carefully. After a moment she sets the file down and crosses her arms with a wild grin. "Maisie.."
"You're expecting."
The room went quiet as Maisie took this information. Jonathan and Maisie are expecting. They never thought they would be able to have kids but this is shocking news. I knock is heard from the other side and Jonathan walks in. "Hello, did I miss anything?" Maisie turns to look at him and can't help but smile.
Jonathan doesn't look the same as the last time he was a ghost. His mustache is gone and instead has a stubble beard. He is wearing a t-shirt and some jeans. They put his suit in the attic nice and neat for the memories. Maisie gets up and pulls him into a hug, "We are going to have a baby, Jonathan"
He lets go of her and puts his hands on her face. "Are you lying to me? Is this a joke?" Jonathan asks, forming tears in his eyes. She shakes her head no and watches as Jonathan cheers in excitement, "I'm going to be a dad! I've always wanted to be a dad."
He turns to Maisie and kisses her, "I'm glad to start this new life with you Maisie Baker."
She kisses him back, "I can already think of some names."
"And what's that?" Jonathan asked pulling away and looking at her closely
"If we have a boy it will be named Cornelius and if we have a girl it will be named Edith," she replies, grinning at him. He smiles back,
"I like the sound of that."
