Once again, they both shared a bed.

Parker wanted to make sure his best friend wasn't worrying about the events that had happened earlier that day, as he knew he would at least think of it.

Chester lay there, staring at the ceiling, but he wasn't thinking of that.

He was thinking of Parker again.

He couldn't figure out why Parker made him feel the way he did. It made him upset with himself.
I shouldn't like him. He's my best friend.

Parker was on his phone, but not really. He was looking at it to make it look like he was actually doing something.

He was thinking of Chester.

He was thinking of his cute smile, his dreamy blue eyes. His eyes were like an ocean. He got lost in them so often.
He shouldn't make me feel like this.

'Chester?'

'Hm?'

'Do you like me?'

'Of course, you're my best friend.' He replied obliviously.

'No- I mean... Like that...'

'Wh-' He was taken aback.

Did Parker like him?

No. He couldn't possibly have a crush on him. It just wasn't possible.

'Uh... Well... Uhm... I-'

'Of course you don't. Never mind.' Parker said, in a slightly disappointed tone.

'But I do...' Chester thought 'I really do...'

Parker sighed and turned his back to Chester.
'I'm going to sleep now. Goodnight.'

'Oh, goodnight Parker...'

When Chester woke up, Parker wasn't in the bed.
'Parker?' He called, hoping he hadn't left the house.

'What?' Parker replied, marking Chester give out a sigh of relief.

'Where are you?'

'Downstairs.'

'Ok.'

Chester went downstairs after getting ready.

'Hey, Parker?'

'Hm?'

'Why did you ask me that question yesterday?'

Parker froze. He couldn't tell Chester how he felt. He couldn't handle the rejection.

'Uh...'

'Parker?'

'I-uh- heh-...'

'Listen. All I wanted to say was, don't assume someone's response to a question they haven't answered. You might just be wrong.'

Parker's face went red. Did he mean that- No. He wouldn't mean that. He didn't like him back.

'Chester. You don't like me.'

'But I do Parker! I do! I like you more than anything in this world! I couldn't survive without you! I love you!'

Chester got up and slammed the door behind him as he left the house.

Without him noticing, a tear trickled down Parker's face. He buried his face in his hands and let his head fall onto the countertop.

'I like you too...' he muttered to the air, 'I love you too...'

Chester walked down the street, trying to calm himself down. He couldn't believe he just confessed. He couldn't believe he just walked out on Parker like that.

His breathing was heavy and his face was wet from the tears that poured out of his eyes.

'I love you Parker. I love you so much.'

He continued walking, getting a few concerned glances from people strolling by. He gave them an awkward smile and continued walking, his mind racing so much he didn't notice the person behind him.

Suddenly, a hand was over his face and he was being dragged down an alleyway with a knife to his throat. He couldn't scream. He couldn't defend himself. He couldn't do anything.

He was powerless.
