Nightmare lay motionless in his bed, his body battered and broken from his battle with his brother, Dream. His breathing was shallow, and his skin was ashy and pale, a stark contrast to his usual dark hue. The room was silent, save for the soft beeping of the heart monitor that stood by his bedside.

Killer sat in a chair next to the bed, his eyes never leaving Nightmare's still form. He had been there for hours, watching over his love as he slept. Killer's expression was one of worry and sadness, and his usual playful grin was nowhere to be seen.

Horror and Murder had both visited several times, but each time they found Killer in the same spot, unmoving and silent. They had grown concerned about their team member's well-being, and decided to confront him about it.

"Killer, you can't just stay here forever," Horror said gently, placing a hand on Killer's shoulder. "You need to eat and sleep, take care of yourself too."

Killer didn't respond, his eyes still fixed on Nightmare's form. Murder sighed and spoke up, "Killer, we're worried about you. We know how much Nightmare means to you, but you need to take care of yourself too."

Killer finally looked away from Nightmare, his eyes filled with tears. "I can't leave him like this," he whispered. "I can't lose him."

Horror and Murder exchanged a look, both understanding how deep Killer's feelings for Nightmare ran. They knew they couldn't force him to leave, but they also knew he needed to take care of himself.

"We understand how you feel, Killer," Horror said softly. "But you can't stay here forever. Let us take care of Nightmare while you get some rest."

Killer looked at them, his eyes still brimming with tears. "Promise me you'll take good care of him," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"We promise," Murder said firmly. "Now go get some rest, Killer. You need it."

Killer nodded slowly, standing up from his chair. He gave one last, longing look at Nightmare's still form before leaving the room. Horror and Murder watched him go, both feeling a sense of worry and sadness for their partner and their injured leader.

As Killer walked to his room, his thoughts were consumed by Nightmare's condition. He couldn't bear the thought of losing him, not after all they had been through together. He knew he needed to take care of himself, but it was hard to focus on anything else while Nightmare lay injured and vulnerable.

Killer would lie in his bed, his thoughts still consumed by Nightmare. He couldn't bear the bad thoughts that kept popping into his mind. He closed his eyes, hoping that Nightmare would make a full recovery and that they would have many more years together.

Meanwhile, Nightmare lay in his bed, still unconscious but stable. His body was healing slowly, but surely, thanks to the efforts of Horror and Murder. He would wake up soon, and when he did, he would have a lot of catching up to do with his beloved Killer.

Later that night, Killer had woken up in a cold sweat, panting heavily. It was the same nightmare he had been having for weeks now - the nightmare where...well...Nightmare died. It nipped at his soul more than he wanted, causing him worry and anxiety. No way he could sleep after that...

Feeling restless, he decided to go to Nightmare's room again. He knew he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep unless he saw that Nightmare was still alive and breathing.

When he arrived, he saw that Nightmare was still lying in bed, looking peaceful. Killer's heart swelled with relief. He walked over to the bed and sat down, taking Nightmare's hand in his.

As he sat there in silence, he couldn't help but think about how much Nightmare meant to him. He had never felt this way about anyone before. He loved Nightmare, and he was afraid of losing him.

Killer leaned his head against the edge of the bed and closed his eyes. He felt a sense of calm wash over him as he listened to the sound of Nightmare's steady breathing.

It wasn't long before he drifted off to sleep, still holding Nightmare's hand. The two of them slept soundly through the night, with Killer's head resting on the edge of the bed and Nightmare's hand held tightly in his.

The next morning, Horror and Murder found Killer fast asleep in Nightmare's room, still holding his hand. They exchanged a look of concern before deciding to let him sleep a little longer. They knew that Nightmare's safety was the most important thing to Killer, and they were grateful that he was there to protect him.
