Lee would look over at Vanessa, they weren't so bad, but their friends were. some random soldier was talking Lees ear off as he kept his gaze on Vanessa, who seemed like they didn't want to be there, but he didn't blame them.
Vanessa would roll their eyes, they weren't listening to a thing that their friends were saying, they just wanted to leave and make sure that they didn't draw attention to themselves. This wasn't really the type of place you would find them in, it was crowded, there was dancing and it was loud. They hated loud noises, They hated most people and it was obvious that they didn't exactly enjoy dancing.
Lee would watch as some random dude made his way towards Vanessa, he felt a little bit angry and.. a little bit jealous. He'd quickly make his way over to Vanessa, offering his hand. "Would you be interested in dancing with me, Miss Afton?" He'd ask with a smile. "I told you to just call me Vanny, but I would love to dance with you, Mr. Lee."
Lee would nod as Vanessa took his hand, leading them onto the dance floor. He snuck a glance at Vanessas friends, who all seemed pretty pissed about it. Lee would softly chuckle as he saw the dude that had first been approaching Vanessa storm off angrily.
Vanessa and Lee would dance together, Vanessa seeing nervous and Lee taking notice of that. "You alright?" He'd whisper and they'd quickly nod as he nodded back, he didn't believe them but he wasn't going to press them further about it.
A few songs would pass before a song that was mainly meant for couples came on, both Vanessa and Lee would blush at that but they still danced together, Vanessa now confused on how Lee actually felt about them and Lee just enjoying the moment, he'd sneak another glance at Vanessas friends and they were all fuming, not enjoying the fact that Lee was dancing with Vanessa to a song like the one currently played.
Soon enough the song would come to an end, and Lee would dip Vanessa kissing them softly. "Now, I think I'm done dancing for the night." He'd smile and Vanessa would look at him with pure confusion but still softly smiling. "I think I'm done as well." He'd bring them back up and hold one of their hands, bringing them over to where he had originally been standing, and basically just flirted with them for the rest of the night.
"That asshole!" Laurens would yell as he looked over at Vanessa and Lee. "Calm down, Laurens." Lafayette would mumble, he wasn't exactly happy about it, but he did want Vanessa to be happy, even if it was with Lee of all people. Alexander would nod. "Yeah, let em be happy, Laurens." He'd add and Burr would agree with the pair as Laurens pouted.
