At the end of the semester, Morticia and Gomez came to their dorm to help Wednesday with her things, only to notice the subtle differences between the two girls.
"Hi girls. Did you have a nice semester?" Gomez asked.
"Yes. I have a girlfriend now. It's Enid." Wednesday stated matter of factly, making Enid go bright red, not expecting her to just blurt it out like that.
"I'm so happy for you, my darling. You look positively dreadful."
"Thank you, mother." Wednesday replied. "Now go. I wish to say goodbye to Enid in private. I also want her to come visit during the break."
"Of course, my little scorpion. We'll leave you lovebirds alone for now." He grinned, taking a few of her smaller suitcases and carrying them down to the car.
Wednesday turned to Enid, stepping closer till she was able to take her hands in hers.
"I detest goodbyes. So this isn't goodbye. It's see you soon. I expect you to come visit for at least two weeks over the break."
"Isn't that most of the break?" Enid said with a teasing raised eyebrow.
"And?" Wednesday challenged.
"I look forward to it." Enid smiled, pressing her forehead against Wednesday's. "I love you." Enid whispered.
"I love you too, Enid." Wednesday replied, cupping her face and pulling her down for a kiss, Enid's arms wrapping around her firmly as she kissed her back, melancholy tears rolling down her cheeks as she kissed her, not wanting to let go of her beloved raven.
They held each other and kissed for what felt like an eternity, neither willing to let the other go.
"I don't want to leave you." Enid whimpered, nipping gently at Wednesday's bottom lip, making her grip Enid tighter.
"I will send for you in two days. Maybe sooner." Wednesday replied, deepening the kiss slightly, pulling a small moan from Enid as she did.
"No no no no no." Wednesday started mutter to herself, pulling back and starting to spiral.
"Wedns, look at me. It's okay. Breathe. Breathe." Enid told her, cupping Wednesday's face as she tried to refocus her.
"I thought I could, but I can't. Routine. Change. I can't." Wednesdsay replied, starting to hyperventilate.
"Breathe." She told her, sitting them down on the floor, Enid encouraging her girlfriend to sit in her lap facing her, holding her tightly. "I'll call my parents and see if I can just stay with you the whole break. I'm pretty sure they'll be fine with it, okay?"
Wednesday nodded against her neck, struggling to ground herself, gripping Enid's pink fuzzy jumper in her hands, rubbing the fabric with her fingers.
Enid took her phone out of her pocket and quickly called her father.
"Hey dad, it's me. I know I said I'd come home for the break, but I really wanted to spend it with Wednesday. Yeah, she's the girl I told you about. Really? Thank you so much! I'll explain more later, but Wedns needs me right now. Oh my God, dad. Not like that! She- she's having a panic attack. Yeah, it's okay. I'll talk to you soon. Love you too, bye." Enid ended the call and returned her full attention to Wednesday, having been rubbing circles on her back as she spoke to her gentle father.
"See, everything's okay. Dad said I can come stay with you the whole break. You've got me all to yourself, Wedns. Nothing to worry about. I'll be right with you the whole time, okay?" Enid soothed, feeling Wednesday nod against her neck.
"Want me to carry you down to the car?" Enid asked gently, placing a kiss to her forehead.
Wednesday nodded, gripping Enid tighter.
"Okay, I've got you." She told her, nuzzling her cheek against Wednesday's head affectionately before she stood up, carrying Wednesday down the stairs, through the quad, despite the stares and whispers from a few students, and out the front doors to the Addams car.
"Oh, my darling, are you alright?" Morticia asked, coming over to look at her daughter.
"I've got her." Enid smiled. "She, um..." Enid looked down at Wednesday, feeling her nod against her chest, giving permission to explain. "She had a bit of a panic attack with the thought of all the change to her routine being back home without me would be. So... I called my dad and arranged to stay for the whole break. I hope that's okay. She was so upset, I couldn't say no." Enid rambled out.
"It's alright, Enid. We're happy to have you. Is she okay now?" Morticia asked, reaching out to touch Wednesday, only for her to shy away from the touch, moving in closer to Enid.
"I know. It's okay." Enid whispered, kissing Wednesday's cheek affectionately, while her parents just looked on with knowing smirks and warm hearts.
"You're the only person she's ever allowed to touch her. Except for Thing." Gomez smiled. "She's clearly very attached to you."
"I love her very much." Enid admitted, unthinkingly and openly expressing her affection for the girl still trembling in her arms. Her parents watched in awe as Wednesday slowly pointed to her chest, then placed her palm over Enid's heart, her breathing slowly returning to normal.
Wednesday lightly touched Enid's chin, fingers lightly tugging her down, and Enid couldn't resist her silent request, leaning down to kiss her quickly, looking up to see Morticia and Gomez fawning over the adorable display of affection.
