Underestimated

~ Chapter 1~

Liera watched her anatomy teacher closely, trying to learn about the dissection of a cat. Her hand moved vigorously sketching out the left and right ventricle of the animal. She raked her hand through her dark brown hair letting it fall past her chest. She sighed as the bell rang, signaling the end of class. Grabbing her bag and sweater, she walked out of the college classroom. As she walked to her dorm she thought of tests, homework, and anything else she might have to do tonight. When she approached her dorm room she noticed her door open. Her eyes widened at the thought of someone breaking into her room. Dropping her bag she shimmied through her door with a textbook in hand. Biting her lip she walked into her living room only to be knocked down. Knees came crashing down into her back. Leira whimpered.

" Please don't rape me" Leira said shivering at the only thought coming into her mind. Leira heard a feminine chuckle as she was turned to face bright green eyes and light purple hair.

" God Leira! What where you gonna do beat me with knowledge or crack my eardrums. that's an awesome way to say hi to a friend you haven't seen in forever." The girl said holding up the anatomy textbook. Liera blinked her eyes.

" Reah?" She whispered.

" The one and only bitches!" Reah said triumphantly as she slid off of Liera and stood.

Liera braced herself on her elbows feeling a chill on abdoman where her shirt was lifted, Her brows knitted together before a smile spread from her lips and she launched herself at her friend.

" woah their tiger! Don't kill me!" Reah said with a smile in her voice as she hugged Liera back. Liera lifted her eyes to Reah and glared.

" I should! You scared the hell out of me!"

" Well you always where a little jumpy Leira"

" It's still not fair Reah, You broke into my apartment!" She said huffing out.

" Would it make you feel better if i told you I came to see you for your birthday" Reah said wiggling her eyebrows.

" Reah, last time i checked my birthday was in Decemeber and where in Augest."

Reah stomped her feet in frustration, not wanting to tell the truth, but eventually gave up.

" Ok fine.. I missed you. That's why i came. Plus i knew that you would go back to your boring self without me, so i came to take you out." She said smiling with her white teeth.

" Reah the last time i let you take me out I ended up going skinny dipping in a fountian and slept in someones bathtub" She said grimacing at the experience.

" And you had so much fun!" Reah said jumping up and down.

" No Reah i was so embaressed i didn't come out of my room for three days and was grounded for two months." Liera said giving the its all you fault look.

" Ok so maybe it was a bit much, but now your in college and you have no parents. You can do whatever you want."

" And i am doing what i want. Seriously Reah I'm not going out." Leira said her voice serious.

" Fine" Reah pouted as she sat down on the floor, crossed her arms and made her eyes water. Liera groaned stomping her feet.

" Fine you win Reah, But i swear to god i better not end up in some strangers bath tub this time!" she said pointing her finger. Reah's attitude imediatly changed as she tackled Liera to the floor for the second time today.

" Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!" Reah said kissing her friends cheeks repeatedly.

" Your welcome. Now please get off me before my rib cage compresses, stabs my heart and kills me!"

" Are you calling me fat!?!" Reah yelled, straddling Leira's hips.

" No Reah I said your heavy. There's a diffrence"

" Oh... Well I'm leaving and keep the spare key under the mat i need to get back in because I'm to cheap to rent a motel room" Reah said standing up to her feet and grabbing her jacket.

" Where are you going?" Liera said as her eyebrows scrunched together in confusion.

" To find where im taking you, of course. I don't know this town." She said shrugging her shulders. Liera just groaned and dropped herself on the couch. She could here Reah laughing at her action.

"Ok well I'm off Babe. Remeber, keep the key where it is. I'll be back soon"

" Yeah, Yeah Reah just get out so i can do my homework." Liera said. She heard a faint gasp from her friend.

" Well, so rude!" She heard Reah mutter. Instead of a remork Liera gave her the bird and smiled.

" I love you too babe." Reah sang while giving her another smile before she walked out of the door. When Reah was indeed gone she started on her homework and studying for the night.

Liera eyes shot open when she heard her front door close, accompianed by two low voices. As they got closer her heart sank into her chest, Until she could hear the faint wind chime laughter of Reah and a grunt of a man. Throwing her pillow at the door she silently cursed her friend for waking her. Then it started.

" Jesus Christ" She muttured to herself as she heard the moaning and gasping of her friend. She groaned shoving her other pillow over her head trying to block out the sound.

After a few hours the apartment quieted and Liera began to drift asleep. As her mind finally took her under she thanked god.
