about the girl, from the night before.
EVERYTHING WAS SO LOUD, in her mind. the school work that kept piling up on her desk killed her. it sucked to look at, because she struggled to get it done. she took a glance outside, staring at the stars and the bright sky ─ it made her feel calm.
she stood up, walking to her window that led to outside. she opened her window, taking a deep breath of the fresh air. a smile grew on her face, her emotions growing calm.
stepping outside, she sighed. she was careful as she took steps outside, making sure she didn't harm herself. the breeze made her feel calm ─ happy, almost.
the bright moon reflected against her, shining on her face. she wasn't sure why, but tears started to fall from her eyes, but she still held a smile.

the boy looked up from his phone, as he heard sniffles and whimpering. he looked to the left, where he found a girl crying. she looked the same age as him. he was confused as to why she was crying, but it wasn't his business. so he kept to himself.
until he saw the girl curl into herself, still crying. he felt bad for her; anything could have happened. so out of pity, he asked ─
"what happened?"
he had caught the girl's attention, because she gasped as she looked up at him.
"oh! nothing's wrong, it's just . . . i don't know, this night's so beautiful . . ." she looked up at the sky, admiring the scenery, despite the tears that streamed down her face.
the boy quirked an eyebrow, but decided to leave it alone. he looked up at the sky like her, not sure as to why she admired it so much.
"nagi, by the way."
"hm?" she looked over at the white-haired male, wiping her tears. "oh. y/n," she smiled warmly.
"that's a pretty name," nagi said as he nodded. "i'm sixteen, what about you?"
"sixteen, haha," she shrugged and waved. "how's school for you?" she asked.
"it's going okay, i've been investing in football, lately," nagi turned off his phone. "you?"
"i'm glad to hear that!" she exclaimed. "i'm barely managing," laughing, she looked down.
nagi slightly frowned as he looked down. he wasn't sure what was going on with her, she was strangely cryptic, as she laid in her tomb of silence. he didn't want to read into it too much, he just left it alone.
she enjoyed his company, it was making her happy. or, at least, was making her feel better than she was just a moment ago. she smiled softly, genuinely.
"hey, thanks for keeping me company, nagi . . ." she looked over at the boy with a kind smile.
"oh, sure," nagi didn't know what sparked the sudden words that she spoke. they had only just met, but he didn't mind it.
nagi looked at the time, only to see how late it had got.
"oh, i should really get back inside," nagi said as he stood up, much to the girl's sadness.
"oh, alright! that's okay, have a good night!" she waved goodbye to the boy with pretty blue eyes, and another smile.
nagi nodded and walked inside of the open window, while the girl watched him leave, with a small frown growing onto her.
already, she felt lonely.
she looked back at her window with a sad expression, not wanting to go back inside. it was just the mood that ruined it for her, but nonetheless, she had to.
and so, she stood up, then walked back inside. staring at the mess that rested before her. it sucked her happiness down the drain, as her fingers began to dim the lights. she fell onto her knees, staring at the ground.
she was tired, but she couldn't sleep. it sucked. so she stayed still, as if she was patiently waiting for something to happen. something to save her. someone.
