The Last Form of Affinity

The Strange Old Lu

After almost a week of lying in bed Royue finally woke up. His eyes observed the simple room he was in. It is a fine day outside the window and the air is very fresh. He can hear the rustling of the trees and the singing of the birds that sounds very pleasing to the soul. It is very calm. The feeling is way too wonderful that he wants to stay it this way forever. He looked at the scenery outside the window in a feeling dazed.It looks like he will be very fond of looking outside the window from now and the future.

"Brother Xie look here , you're elder brother is finally awake."

Royue was interrupted by a sweet and innocent voice of a child. He turned his eyes and can see  that there are two kids standing from the door. They're both very good looking with those pairs of big and adorable eyes staring at him. They  both have fair skin which complements the white and clean clothes they wear. The only difference where the color of the hair and eyes. The slightly taller one with his gray hair as well as his gray eyes it made him remember the state he was in before he lost his consciousness. The child look very much like the man who saved them.
Little Rou smiled cheerfully at him and pulled little  Xie's hand and walked  happily towards the stunned Royue. The child looked very adorable and carefree.

"Brother Xie, go talk to your brother don't  be shy."

Royue looked at the other child that looks very timid. It took him a few seconds before realizing that this kid is indeed little Xie. He looked way too different from the child who he rescued before like from a beggar turning into a young master.

"Little Xie how are you?"

" I'm fine, this is little Rou. It is thanks to them that the both of us got cured."

Royue looked at Ruo with gratefulness written on those gentle beautiful eyes.

"It is an honor to be saved by you young master. We owe our lives to you. I am willing to be grateful to you my whole life just tell me what i can do for you in the future"

" It's ok. It's ok. don't think too much about it. I only helped of taking care of you two because  Old Lu once said that lending a hand must be done out of your kindness without expecting anything in exchange so that were one step closer to  immortality."

"Yes!yes! Old Lu is indeed right. "

He smiled politely at the beaming child in front of him but his thought wandered on his past where he  helped some people but some of them become responsible for his death. The sad reality is that no matter how good you are, you cannot predict the future like what his master and the father of the original owner of this body said "to just live and be happy". You can try to move in advance but it will cost a life.

Royue look around for another person but failed. He was about to ask when a cute cub suddenly run towards Rou. Seeing the cub arrived, Rou beamed joyfully and picked  the cub from the ground. It is too cute and fluffy that even the timid little Xie cannot stop himself from rubbing it's fur. The cub didn't mind and let the kid rub.

"It looks like Abo likes you too"
"Really? Can I hug him?"
"Of course!"

Little Rou gave the cub for Xie to try.
The kids feels really happy that they can't help but smile big.

After that, Royue who also wanted to hold the cub had his wish come true. They talked and Royue did the chores knowing that the old man must be very tired after fetching little Xie's sister from a far.

The sun is setting when two figures arrived home. One young pretty lady who look very sick because her very thin figure and pale skin. She looks around 12 years of age while the other man look very beautiful. He looks very gentle and pure like that kind of beauty that you will never get tired of staring even your entire life.
