"Damn!" Dash yelled, "I should just beat that guy up." His voice echoed throughout the restaurant. The attention is focused on him. Dash quickly apologized after realizing he was being too loud. He went straight to the kitchen and began to let out a sigh.
"Are you okay?" Ivy handed him a glass of water and said, "Here, have a drink to help you relax." Dash turned and gave her a long look. Ivy, who is still holding onto the glass, is feeling tense. The direct gaze is making her feel uneasy. For some reason, his stare is making her feel anxious.
"Dash!" Ivy called him once more.
"Oh, thanks. I'm sorry." Dash eventually spoke up and took the glass from her. "I just feel so frustrated, but I'm alright," he said. He was so embarrassed by Ivy catching him staring at her. Since Ivy has been working there, Dash has been eager to show up for work. He makes the effort to reach at work early and regularly stays a little later than usual to wait for Ivy to end her work. His heart is captured by her lovely smile and laughter.
Ivy asked, "You want to talk about it?
"It's fine. It's just a typical occurrence. Every time I have to deal with a difficult customer, my day is ruined. But hey, I'm not the type of guy to beat somebody up in that manner. Unless my life is at stake," Dash said. He doesn't want Ivy to have a different impression of him. He wishes to get closer to her.
She understood what's he trying to convey to her. Dash seems like a nice guy to her. He cracks jokes that make her laugh every time. She finds him attractive. He looks gorgeous with his brown, wavy hair. Even though it occasionally appears unkempt, she was flabbergasted by the way he flips his front hair back. She will just stare at him for seconds without blinking. In a short period of time, Ivy already fell for him..
"Have you got any plans this weekend?" Dash abruptly asked.
"I guess not. Why?" Ivy asked.
"Are you up for hanging out? I mean we can catch a movie if you want to," asked Dash anxiously.
Ivy responded with a smile, "Okay I guess since I've got nothing much to do too."
Dash had a smile on his face. As he was about to say something to Ivy, Derrick burst into the kitchen.
"Flirting time is over guys," he said, turning to face them both. "Get back to work."
Dash suddenly laughed while making an effort to avoid making a fool of himself. He wasn't sure why he was acting so shy. Usually he will talk back to Derrick but this time he just laugh.
Dash whispered to Ivy, "See you this weekend," and left. As he walked, he whistled. He never had experienced such sustained excitement. At least he succeeds in putting his nightmares aside and anticipating something fun. One of his wishes is to ask Ivy out and to his excitement, it went smoothly.
Ivy look at Dash while he make his way out. She never felt this way before. The way Dash looked at her with his solemn eyes. His eyes looks so mysterious but his smile. His smile makes her heart fluttering.
"I guess there is no harm hanging out with him," Ivy mumbling to herself. She just need someone to talk to.
