Singing while cooking is my favorite hobby. Feel ko habang nagluluto ako ay naibubuhos ko lahat ng mga emosyon na gusto kong ipalabas. Kasalukuyan akong nagluluto ng adobong manok. Paborito kase ito ng papa ko kaya gusto ko s'yang ipagluto ng masarap na hapunan. Nasa ibang bansa ang mama ko because she's working abroad para mai-ahon kami sa hirap ng buhay.

"Nak?"

Nandito na pala si papa.

"Tay? Kamusta ang byahe?" Agad na tanong ko.

Nakangiti itong tumingin sa akin. "Maayos naman, may benta na tayo sa palengke. Nagkaroon din ako ng malaking kita. Pang-allowance mo anak."

"Naku tay, huwag na. Okay na ako. May pera pa naman ako galing sa part-time job ko eh. Tsaka, sayo na 'yan." Sagot ko.

"Anak, mabait ba sayo yung boss mo sa trabaho?" Tanong nya.

Tumango naman ako. "Syempre Tay, mabait si Boss Julie sa akin. Nililibre n'ya nga ako ng agahan."

Masayang tumango ang aking ama. "Pwede mo s'yang imbetahan ngayong fiesta anak, magluluto ako."

My heart beamed in happiness. "Sige tay, iimbetahin ko si boss."

Yes, three months ago. Nag apply ako ng part-time job and since I'm a culinary student, may experience at knowledge ako about sa mga different dishes na pwede kong lutuin. Lumipas ang taking araw at natanggap ako sa trabaho na gusto ko. Gusto ko ding gamitin ang trabaho para magkaroon pa ng mataming experience sa pagluluto.

Boss Julie is the manager and Chef sa pinagtratrabuhan kong fancy restaurant. It's an expensive restaurant in our city, halos mga VIP's yung customers. Kaya I began to ask why bigla nalang akong natanggap sa trabaho kahit estudyante pa lamang ako. Pero weekends lang yung shifts ko and minsan kapag kulang sa chefs ay tatawagan nalang ako ni boss but it's okay since dagdag pera naman.

My thoughts interrupted when my phone vibrated.

It's Boss Julie.

I answered the call. "Boss? Napatawag ho kayo?"

"Good evening Tes, free kaba tomorrow evening? May VIP customer kase and kulang tayo sa chefs. But it's okay if busy ka." She said sa kabilang linya.

"Boss, okay lang po. Tatapusin ko nalang yung mga homeworks ko, para free ako bukas." I replied.

"Really?" I can hear her giggling at the other line. "Thank you DS! Don't worry, I'll give you a high salary of course."

"Thank you boss! Expect me to he there tomorrow."

Abot langit ang ngiti ko habang kumakain kaya di ko pinagtataka kung bakit confused na confused si tatay.

9:30pm na.

Kasalukuyan akong gumagawa ng aking mga homeworks. Di ko maiwasang ma excite para bukas. Ilang minuto lang ang lumipas at natapos na rin ang mga homeworks ko. I stretched my body and closed my eyes. I did a little exercise and wala sa sariling napatingin sa labas. I stared at the moon as if it's gonna stare at me back. I really admire evenings more than mornings to be honest. Sa gabi kase, kahit gaano ka dilim di parin ako makaramdam ng takot but instead I feel comfort. The way I described 'evening' are comfort and peace.

I was about to admire it more when my thoughts interrupted for the second time. Someone is calling me again. I left out a heavy sigh.

But this time it's not ma'am Julie but it's my professor.

Professor Zoey Sanchez.

I gulped before clicking the answer button.

"Miss," I said at the other line. "Good evening."

"It took you one minute and twenty-five seconds to answer the call, Delos Santos. Are you flirting again?"

My head heat up. Kung ano nalang ang ibibintang. Ganon na ba talaga akong klaseng tao sa paningin n'ya?

"No ma'am, I was doing my homework. What do you need?" I didn't mean to sound rude pero di ko talaga maiwasan.

"How dare you use that words to me, Delos Santos. Learn respect for once." She hissed.

Did she just call me para makipag-away?

"I apologize. So what's the reason why you called me?" I tried to be calm.

"Come see me. I'll send you the address. Asap."

And then she ended the call.
