Keegan pulled me on his lap and I wiggled in uncomfortableness and because I'm scared what he will think about me when we explain why we need protection. "So you need protection? Care to explain why?" He asked my mother. She's the leader of our coven. "It has something to do with my daughter. Your mate." She told my mate and he growled shocking me and I turned to look at him and his eyes where red and gold. I gasped and put my hand on his face lightly stroking his jaw and he nuzzled into my hand like a puppy and I couldn't help but to giggle at him which caused him to grin. I looked at my mother letting her know I will explain it all to him. "Keegan, I'm going to explain to you why we need your help but I need you to keep your wolf under control" I told him while still stroking his cheek and he sighed and grumbled something between "I'll try" and "good luck". I rolled my eyes, male werewolves and their possessiveness. "I am Penelope Bennett and my coven is all Bennett witches" I told him and watched as his eyes registered what I said and widened in shock "Bennett witches are powerful, they are said to be some of the first witches from the beginning of our world being created and that wasn't long after human life was put on the earth, I haven't heard of a Bennett witch in forever. My mother had a best friend who was a Bennett witch. She was my mothers nanny when she was a baby because everyone knows witches and werewolves and vampires live forever unless they are killed or a werewolf loses their wolf or they lose their other half. Which it's rare for a witch to have a mate" he told us looking at me and grabbing my hand "we've been hiding in New Orleans my whole life with all of the other witches, I'm seventeen so I just got my powers a year ago" I told Keegan softly preparing myself to tell him a secret only my coven knows "except I'm stronger than my whole coven put together, I have the power of all the dead Bennett witches. I'm a legacy, this has only ever happened to one other witch and she couldn't control her powers and showed herself to whoever trying to show her powers off and she was killed because they thought she was an abomination, we believe in pure magic and earth magic and we practice other magics but we do not practice black magic. Lots of witches even Bennett witches don't have to power to do black magic but the witch I'm telling you about she got into black magic because she couldn't control her powers so it led her to shut down her pure side and become a witch of darkness and it caused her to get killed, I know you're thinking how can you kill a witch who is the strongest witch on earth, but it is easy with the right tools" I told Keegan scared to meet his eyes because all I could hear was growling. "Look at me" he growled out to me and I hesitantly made eye contact with him and it made me want to run buying stayed still "I will protect you, I'll do whatever I can" he told me while trying to calm his wolf down and I couldn't help but throw myself into him and wrap my arms around his neck and I could feel him nuzzling my neck and inhaling my scent.
"Are you the mysterious little witch who busted my windows with her anger outburst" Keegan asked me while smirking "oops" I said giggling and he just chuckled. My mate grabbed me by the waist and lifted me up putting me on the ground while he stood and he looked at everybody "meeting dismissed" he told everybody and everyone got up and left out the room "well my little witch do you want to show me some of this powerful magic?" Keegan asked me and I smiled, I love practicing my magic, "there's a cave in your woods behind a waterfall that I came across, I like to sit in there and practice, practicing outside makes me feel closer to my witch side" I told Keegan "that cave kind of called to me though, I can feel the magic in it" I told Keegan also "that's because the Bennett witch my mom was best friends with use to practice her magic in that cave" Keegan told me while we where walking out the back door of the pack house "what was her name?" I asked Keegan "Emily Bennett. I use to call her aunt emy" Keegan told me "as in THE Emily Bennett!?" I asked him shocked and he looked at me weirdly "there is only one Emily Bennett and she is powerful, more powerful than I am almost but her magic is all natural. Oh my god that's amazing" I told Keegan excitedly while we where approaching the hidden cave.
