At the Grave(Idk what to call this)

It was March of 2022. I remember it like yesterday, even with all the brain damage and shit that came with it. Me and Alex were coming home late at night from a party. We had a couple of drinks but neither of us were quite drunk, just tipsy. The music was blasting on the radio, we were holding hands, and the roads were almost completely empty. Then, out of nowhere, a car swerved out and hit Alex's side, my head violently hits the glass, and I woke up in a hospital, my mom beside me, crying her eyes out.
It took me awhile to process what happened that night, and heck, I've not even fully come to terms with it yet. But that's why I'm here, to change. At least, that's what I want to do. The paper in my hand, suitcase in the other. I can do this. Heading towards my dorm building, I take in my surroundings. The buildings seem relatively modern, and the beautiful greens cover 90% of the campus. Other students walk around, finding their dorm rooms or classes or whatever. Finally, I arrive to the tall brick building, and I push open the doors and take the elevator to my floor and walk into the lounge. The lounge was rather nice and modern-ish. Of course the furniture wasn't the best, I mean, it's a dorm building lounge. What else do you expect? I take a left and approach my dorm room. 304.

It took awhile, but my mom had helped me set up my dorm room so that helped speed up the process. It wasn't the best, but this was mainly just going to be the place I slept. Finally, my mom said her goodbyes and gave me a big ol' hug and went on her way. I settled down on my bed and got my phone out. Soon later I heard the door creak open. "Hello?" a voice sounded out from the entry. I jumped out of bed.

"Hi! You must be my roomate?" I said.

"Yup. My names uh, Nick. What's yours?" Nick replied. There was something familiar about this man.

"Karl. My names Karl, and it's nice to meet you. "

I have never seen anyone light up so fast in my life.
