Artemis's victorious expression disappeared, being replaced by a stoic one. She inched closer to Percy, bringing out her hunting knifes like the rest of her hunters.

"Boy," she said rather calmy, catching Percy off guard. "I should gut you one the spot for disrespecting me. However, there is some outside force blocking me from entering your mind."

And how is that my problem? Percy bit back a retort at the goddess in front of him. There would be a time to make fun of her, and now was not the time. He also noticed how she frowned when talking about his mind. At the same time, he wondered why the goddess in front of him was acting sensible. His actions definitely should've put him 6 feet under, yet his was standing. That too, in relatively good condition.

"Are you even listening to me?" Percy noticed how Artemis was trying to communicate with him. He looked around his surroundings, once again, and noticed how the other hunters were now circled around him, each ready to stab him if needed. The hunters farther away from him had their bows out and a notched arrow aimed at him.

"BOY!" Artemis yelled at him, snapping him out of his thoughts. Now having Percy's attention, Artemis asked, "Who is your godly parent?"

Now, this was a question that Percy wanted to avoid. He knew his godly heritage could very well endanger both him and his father.

"Are you assuming I have a parent that's a god?" Percy sassed, adjusting his standing position from the one he used for a couple minutes.

Artemis, obviously annoyed that this "mortal" was keen on avoiding her questions, let her a little of her aura flare. Percy stumbled a bit from the sudden display of power, as if he forgot that a goddess was standing right in front of him.

"Demigod, you seem to forget that you controlled water in front of me." Percy blushed from embarrassment, remembering the prank he pulled on the goddess.

"Hey!" he said, trying to defend himself. "That could have been your imagination."

Artemis narrowed her eyes, not wanting to deal with the infuriating demigod any longer. "Do not test my patience, demigod." Despite her attempts at trying to scare Percy into submission, the demigod didn't care.

"You're not going to get any information out of me." Percy's hand was getting tired from holding the wound. "So, let me go and fix this wound you imposed on me."

Artemis thought about this for a moment. While she really wanted to be done with the demigod, she also needed to extract information out of him. He could be a threat to Olympus and leaving a demigod that could evade her mind reading abilities was dangerous. There was definitely an outside source helping him, and she needed to find out who it was.

"No," Artemis answered. "If you refuse to answer my questions, then I'll be forced to take you as my prisoner."

This prompted protests from Percy, which were quickly silenced with protests from the hunters. They weren't too happy to have to travel alongside a male, especially one that disrespected them and their mistress.

Artemis quickly silenced both groups (even though Percy was one person) and made four hunters surround Percy in a square shape, as they escorted him back to camp. The four chosen hunters grumbled but did as they were told, happy that they could inflict some disrespect back on the demigod.

Line break

Percy was not having the best time of his life. Around him were four hunters, two of whom were pointing their notched bows right in his back. The other two, the ones in the front, holding shackles his wrists were confined to. It didn't help that the hunters kept mocking him on the way back to the camp. And, he still had no idea why they called that area their camp. There was no way they were claiming the entire forest as their territory. Or maybe they are. No telling with these girls.
