Arthur 's POV

I had awoken that morning in my human form, expecting a bright and sunny day. Except, It wasn't sunny at all. I rose from my spot in my bed, apparently everyone's form of nature was hollowed out for the human form to live. I floated out of my house in a still groggy state. Until Summer woke up I technically wasn't done, Usually she's up early. As i floated through the sky to Summers house, and then he spoke from above

~~~awakes a newborn sun, rising and looking for fun ~~~ in an age of light the dark will snatch and try ~~~yet the sun looks death straight in the eye~~~
Another damn prophecy, after the prophecy for the ocean I don't think anyone needs more death or destruction. Year after year people are replaced and prophecy comes and it is death and destruction for big forces and sunshine and rainbows if you're lucky enough to be a small force.
Asher's POV
It's dark.
It's cold.
I'm wet.
Let me out.
I had no prior knowledge or even any knowledge at all. Just these phrases repeating in my mind.
Its dark
Its cold
I'm wet.
Let me out.
All of a sudden I was thrown out of whatever cold liquid I was in and into a hollowed out circle home? Where am I? I'm obviously not dead but......
BOOM
The door was kicked down by a person, he was on the shorter side with dark skin and silver hair. His eyes were kind and filled with worry. I could sense his distress, it was quite evident in the setting of the room. Was this his room?
"It's your room."
He spoke softly so as to not scare me. As if he had done this a hundred times and I was another glass doll in his collection of friends. Could you even call it that?
A few more people barged in, he seemed to return to a monotone state, no longer acknowledging me.
A new voice, a new person. She was brunette, very formal yet a warm tone.
"Welcome, you are the spirit of the sun, I'm Kate, the form of ferns"
"Hello Kate"
It definitely came out a lot more monotone than I meant. I wanted to be friendly, I wanted to do all the wild things this world has to offer. It's pulling at me, the urge, begging to be set free.
" What is your name spirit of the sun"
"Asher"
I happened to blurt that out. It was so natural to say that name, yet it feels like I have only been conscious for so long.
" It seems you have already met Arthur, he is the spirit of the moon".
"yes"
"This is your home, It seems Summer has prepared it for you"
The name...
The feeling of warmth spread through me. I knew it would be important for later, it just seemed so special.
" In our realm, the end goal is harmony. There is no need for emotions, we are together. That should fulfill us enough"
"..."
"We will let you get settled in"
Kate and the few people around her finished their last notes. The notebooks seemed to pop out of nowhere and seemed to find itself in that space again. And then they were gone.
Arthur had fallen to his knees at this point, a soft weeping emitting from him. He looked up at me again, I was staring down at him. He wiped his eyes, yet his tears were unable to be contained. He righted himself and stood up again:
"They shouldn't have gotten rid of her"
"Who ?"
"Summer"
The warmth filled me again, it faded quickly enough.
"We were getting tired of this"
"Of what ?"
"The no emotion. The feeling of nothing! She wanted more, I told her it was dangerous but she had wanted more! It's over now anyways"
"Nothings over yet"
"..."
"you have her optimism"
I smiled at this though, maybe living up to Summer in some way would help. Maybe even release this longing for more as well. I mean, after millions of years of ruling the sun, wouldn't anyone want more?
He shifted awkwardly, dried his remaining years, and put on a straight face.
"There's a building down the block, It's the information building. They'll assign your job there"
He brushed himself off one last time and walked out of the house in solemn loneliness.
Don't listen to the down the block bullshit from Arthur. Unless blocks are like half a mile each then go on as normal.
Most of the people around me were floating, legs either limp or sort of air jogging. I wondered what I could do. The sun shone brighter the more I thought. Maybe the more I was like her, the more power I got? Possibilities, a mystery.
I had bumped into several people, all of which responded with a frantic "Excuse me!"
Except for one.
He seemed to be a grumpy old man, with an almost elfish feature. As I bumped into him he responded with a , " WATCH IT DUMB ASS"
People In white suits, like the people with Kate, dragged him down the block. A sentence rang through my ears. "TO MUCH EMOTION". Over and over again, I thought my brain would melt. Yet if I showed any sign of pain or panic I would become the man on the road.
I had made it to the end of our half a mile long block. Sweating and exhausted, I went up to the secretary.
"I need the keys to room 457, I.D is S1U2M3M4E5R6"
"Take the elevator to the fourth floor, it should be the fifth room on the right"
She handed me the keys and I took the elevator up. The place was an unorganized one, especially for such a strict on harmony place. Every number was scrambled, never in order. The elevator pinged and the fourth floor.
I followed the secretary's instructions and made it to the door. I went to unlock the door but my brain went out of hyper drive. She seemed to stop showing me, as if this was my choice. Was anything my choice here though? My hand hesitated in front of the door knob, sweaty and shaking. But from what? Was this a real insight into me? What was she showing me?
I went for it.
I opened it.
I froze.
