Chapter three: Betrayal

Third person pov

Koco's eyes met Shay's. Shay started to walk into the room.

"SHAY STOP!" koco yelled. Shay looked back at Koco. He hesitated for a second but he walked into the mysterious back room. Shay thought for a second that it might just be a room full of booksThe door is a bookshelf. So it would make sense. Shay's eyes grew big once the smoke let him see what was inside. It was not books or anything relating to paper. It was spy gear?!

" Shay." koco said, taking his arm, " I have to tell you something." Koco's eyes were filled with sorrow. Shay knew she was hiding something.

"What is koco?" questioned shay.

"I'm a spy and I discovered that Robert's butter business is a cover for an arm's deal." Shay looked at koco with disbelief. No. Shay thought he knew Robert. He's been working there for years. About three years now. Everything in Shay's mind was deteriorating. Robert was sweet and caring. Shay thought Koco saw it wrong. But shay looked back at koco and saw in her eyes that she wasn't lying. He broke out crying. Koco ran up to shay. She braised him. He shivered in her arms.

"It's ok" Koco tried to reassure shay.

"No, it's not," he snapped.

"You'll feel better once you eat." Koco decided. Koco helped shay up and went to the island in the kitchen. Shay sat down. Koco kept on making chicken alfredo. The food was done. Koco dished two plates up and gave one to shay. Shay picked up the fork with shaking hands. He handed koco his empty plate. Koco took it to the sink.

"Are you okay," koco seemed concerned. Shay looked into koco's eyes. He was still shocked by the news. They sat there for a minute or two.

"So what's going to happen after this?" Shay questioned.

"Well you could talk to Robert and tell him or you could talk to him and get info for me." Koco looked stern.

"I .... I will do it." Shay responded to Koco. She smiled at him. Koco and shay took some time to come up with a plan. The next morning. Koco drove shay to work.

" See you later babe," Koco said to Shay.

"Goodbye," Shay turned red. Like the brightest red ever. Babe! She just called me babe. Shay thought. Shay went to Robert's office for lunch.

"Hello shay" Robert greeted shay.

"Hey Robert," he looked at everything but Robert, "I need to tell you something.".

"What is shay?" Robert questioned.

" Um...I know t.that the company is a cover for an arms deal." Shay said.

" HOW WHAT HOW DO YOU KNOW!" Robert yelled at Shay.

" There's a spy and it's Koco Sanchez." Shay looked at Robert ashamed. "Well, tonight you're going to lower her to the left butter freezer.'' Robert made stern eye contact " and if you don't! You will never be seen again." Shay was shocked at how aggressive Robert was toward him. He hurriedly shuffled out of Robert's office. He ran down the stairs and went straight to Koco.

"Koco koco!" Shay said out of breath, " koco we need to go into the left freezer tonight.".

" Ok, we'll go there tonight," Koco responded with a wink. Shay heads off to his station. He was watching the clock with eager eyes. The clock hand hit three. Shay ran out to koco's motorbike. Koco was waiting there. Shay grabbed his helmet from koco. They raced down the highway. Riding into the apartment's parking lot. The two ran up to koco's apartment. Pulling on gear. Fitting shay for him.

"Thank you Alexa..?" questioned Shay.

"Your welcome Shay '' answered Alexa " if you need anything else I'll be here.". Shay walked out of the room. Koco realized he was there. She looked at him in his skin-fit suit. Her cheeks lit up like Christmas lights.

"Do I look good?" Shay questioned Koco. Koco nodded. Her eyes were surprised he looked so good. She looked at how the tight-fitted cloth went around his arms and legs. She swerved her head to the kitchen. Shay followed koco into the kitchen.

"Wacha going to make?" Shay questioned.

" What do you want?" Koco ignored Shay's question.

"Chicken nuggets, Shay announced.

"Ok there in the freezer, Koco responded. He walked over to the freezer. Pulled onto the handle. His eyes widened with amazement.

" You have popsicles?!" he exclaimed.

"Uh yeah," Koco's eyes connected with Shays.

"You can have some after supper." koco stated. Shay's hand went past the ice cream and straight to the chicken. Koco bent down to put them in the oven, Shay's eyes watching her closely. Shay moved from his seat to be behind koco. Koco stood up fully and turned her head to look at shay. Shay's hands glided to koco's face. Finally, Koco had enough of playing. She moved her head to meet just in front. Her lips glazed him. She brushed past him to go and set a timer. His lips lingered with her touch. He took his seat back on the island. The timer echoed in the kitchen. The chicken nuggets were put on a plate. Shay licked his lips. Koco looked up at Shay with a grin. She reached across the table and stole one of the nuggets from shay.

"How dare you steal from me!" Shay was very dramatic. The only thing Koco could do was laugh. Shay looked at her with a death glare. He quickly snatched a piece from Koco's plate.

" Hey, no give it back." Koco chuckled. Shay stuffed the nugget into his mouth. Koco just sat and laughed. Shay looked at her and his eyes quickly darted to the ground. He looked back up at how happy she was. Guilt washed over him. Shay was overthinking the thing Robert had told him to do. Koco was so happy that they were together. Even if the feelings were not there. Plates went into the dishwasher and they went to go to the factory. Everything went how they were. Until they were in the middle of the freezer room.

"Hello" Koco's voice echoed through the tall cylinder room.

"Hello, Agent Sanchez." They emerged from the shadows. Koco looks back at Shay. Gray steps out of the shadows with a bunch of other guards. Then Koco realizes who did this. Shay! She noticed that Robert was also there with them. Robert slowly went down the steps.

"Well, hello Koco." Robert greeted Koco then he turned his attention to Shay.

" Good job Shay.". Koco watched as Shay took place at Robert's side. It looked like Koco's heart had broken into several pieces. Shay looked up at Koco ashamed. Tears rolled down her cheeks as agent Martinez handcuffed her.

"HOW COULD YOU SHAY!?" Koco yelled out in pain. Her wrists started to bruise from trying to get out of the handcuffs. Shay, Robert, and a group of bodyguards left the room. Just as Shay was going out of the door, he looked back at Koco and smiled. She tilted her head back up. Her grin beamed back at Shay. Tears dried her cheeks. Until next time she thought.
