Chloe was in bed when I got to her house that day. She didn't look too well either. "How are you feeling?" I asked sitting down at the end of her bed.
"Terrible, I really want more anti-nausea pills, but I've already had too many," she said holding up an empty bottle, "My mom said I could only have the last couple left in here to get me through the day. Do you have any with you?"
"No, sorry. I'm mostly off of the stuff now. I don't have any of my pills along."
"Okay, I guess just those pills were for the best for now. I'm sorry I can't do much today. I guess we need to find something quieter today."
"Yeah," I dug in my pocket and pulled out my list, scanning it over. "Well, we can send a letter to a random address. I have that on my list as something fun."
"Sure, how do we get a real address though?"
"We can get one off of the internet. We can go on one of those interactive maps and just click around until we find one and send it."
"That's sounds good, but what should it be about?"
"I don't know. It should be something interesting though. Maybe we should look for some ideas."
"Yeah," said Chloe picking up her phone from her nightstand. She lifted it up, but immediately dropped her arms. "Too much effort, but I'll look."
I smiled a bit and took my phone out of my other pocket and typed into the search box: "Random letters to strangers" and pulled up the first site. The first site had nothing to do with random letters, just spam letters and how to stop them.
I pulled up the next link and it was a little more helpful. It was more of a tutorial on how to make one with steps such as: find an address and write a weird letter.
The third actually had an example of a letter someone had actually received. It was fairly long and very funny.
"What did you find?" asked Chloe.
"An example of a random letter, would you like to hear it?"
"I would love to, I could use a good laugh, though it may make me more nauseous."
"Dear Sonja,
How have you been lately? I just wanted to let you know that our baby is on the way soon. I'm not sure what gender it is yet, so the room is mostly black and white. I can't wait for you to come visit and see our baby, he/she will be so cute and will want to meet his/her mother! I hope to hear back from you soon,
Jackson"
Chloe looked at me oddly for a second and then laughed a little bit, "That was so weird. A man writing to his 'wife' about the baby on its way? Well, it could be weirder. If you want you can get a piece of paper and pencil, or pen or whatever, from my mom's office, she won't mind."
"Okay, I'll be back in a few minutes then."
I bounced down the stairs trying to think of what the letter could be about. It had to be random, but no too out of the ordinary, but then again, it could be. It could be just for laughs. And nothing else.
Chloe's mom was in her office on the phone when I got there so I ended up searching elsewhere for paper and found some in another room along with a stubby pencil. I ran back up the stairs and squashed myself back down on Chloe's bed.
"Dear..." I started.
"Michael, I think it should be Michael."
"Dear Michael,
I just wanted to let you know your elephant was in my yard again today."
"An elephant? How about a tiger, those are kept as pets more often."
"Okay then,
Dear Michael,
I just wanted to let you know your tiger was in my yard again today and was destroying my flowers and terrorizing my cat through the window."
"Sounds good so far," said Chloe, "how about her suggests he rebuilds the cage or something."
"I would really appreciate it if you could fix your tiger's habitat before I call authorities. If you are having so many problems with the caging, I would be happy to help you if the beast was watched by someone else elsewhere while I helped you."
Chloe smiled, "This is great. Now we just to finish it and have it signed. The signer should be Jeremy."
"Okay," I said and continued. "I really would rather not have to have your pet taken away because of what it has done to my yard and cat, as I love my own pet cat, but I have no other choice since you cannot keep it contained.
Please let me know as soon as possible if you will need help fixing the cage.
Your neighbor,
Jeremy Williams"
"Now that is perfect. I found and address too to put on the envelope. Did you get one?
"No, but I can get one at the post office on the way home. You can send me the address."
"Sure thing, I think I'm going to take a nap now, I'll text you when I wake up."
"Okay, I'll talk to you later then."
Chloe nestled down in her bed and I quietly shut the door and left.

A/N:
It feel's like forever since I've posted a chapter. I'm starting to run out of chapters to post, but I'll be mostly free this summer since I'm graduating Saturday. I am so excited to be almost over with high school!
Anyway, I looked through the demographics for this story and I was surprised by how many people from other countries have read this!
Also, if you read this chapter, comment which country you are from and maybe some ideas on how to advertise my story more so that more people can read it.
Thanks for reading!
