the prompt: to create the scene for the outcome of 'the fantasy island'. the concept for my entry is that after the fantasy island is over the 'lucky survivors' are sent to phase 2 in which they become a part of the island themselves... it turns out that the scientist's robots which were there to welcome them to the island and then alongside them every step of the way weren't robots at all... they were once people and participants of the island themselves but now... now they're trapped inside their own bodies which have been made half-machine. they have no free will and will be slaves to the island forever.
the character depicted in the middle who is currently still going through the process of "phase 2" is galene, my character who entered with the hope that they could save their sister but has now ended up a slave for all eternity. my inspiration for this idea was the cybermen from doctor who and specifically what happened to one of the doctor's companions, bill.

explanation: originally, i had planned a more bitter-sweet ending in which galene does not survive the island but is reunited in the afterlife with their younger sister, as shown in the poster above. in this version, while galene was on the island trying to find a cure to save their sister, their sister actually passed away before they could return.
i had to scrap this idea, however, because we were informed we had to show our ending from the perspective of the living but as i had already done some work on it, i decided to finish it off and post it here as well.
