Trip (part 2)

"Streberrr? Strebssss??""
"mnngfgg whatttt?"
"Its like 11am"
"Gr"
"Get up."
"Nooooo"
"We check out soon, We have to pack up"
"Uhggg fine"
Streber was obviously still tired, probably because he was up so late.
"Honey I told you youd be tired"
"Shushhhh"
Streber lazily pulled himself out of bed and packed his belongings, not bothering to change from his over sized batman t-shirt and and shorts. Kevin had figured that they wouldnt stop for more than gas, so he stayed in comfy clothes too.
They grabbed the two bags of things they had brought to their room with them and dragged them out to the car, Kevin drove.

about an hour later

"Hey Strebs? You hungry? Were gonna pass they only place to stop for food in quite a while pretty soon"
"Mmm, sure", Streber responded, not looking up from the blanket he was continuing to crochet from the other day. In about 15 minutes Kevin was pulling up to a Hardees drive though for their breakfast. Streber ordered the same thing Kevin got, they were both picky eaters so he assumed what Kevin picked would be good. They didnt park to eat, Kevin was ready to get to their hotel as quick as they could. As fun as it was to see different hotels and such, he was pretty sure Streber was ready to stop and rest a couple days at the same one until the concert.
"Hey Kevvvv?"
"Hm?"
"Do you think we can stop at a craft store? I ran out of yarn."
"Uhmmm... I think so yeah. Ill pull over at this next gas station, you can run in and get stuff and ill find the nearest place for yarn."
"Okay:D"

they pulled into the gas station

"Thanks Kevyyyy" Streber said running into the store to get another energy drink Kevin assumed. When Streber got back to the car, Kevin pulled back onto the street and listened to the directions to the nearest Joannes craft store.
"Okay Streb, are you cool running in on your own or do you want me to come in with you?"
"Ill go in on my own!" Streber said, getting out of the car.
"MONEY STREBER. YOU FORGOT IT." Kevin yelled after him.
"AAAH SORRY THANK YOU!"
About 15 minutes later Streber came back to the car with the things he bought.
"STRBER WHY DO YOU HAVE TWO BAGS PF YARN? YOU SAID YOU WERE JUST GONNA GET THE KIND YOU NEED TO FINISH YOUR BLANKET."
"THEYRE SO SOFT THOUGHHHHH! HERE, FEEL."
"Youre making me a blanket with this one." Kevin said, pointing at a fuzzy blue yarn.
"Fineeee"
They continued on their drive once again, not stopping until they got to their hotel a couple hours later.
"Looks like were gonna have to come back for the other bags", Kevin said, looking at the bags that were still in the car.
"No."
"Streber you seriously dont need to carry all oh those"
"Shush."
As soon as they got to their room, they were both exited to look around.
"Kev do you think therell be a pool here too?"
"Hopefully, I dont know how were gonna keep you occupied until the concert if theres not."
"Rude."
"JOKING."
They unpacked their things, Streber unpacking their stuff, and Kevin unpacking the snacks they hadnt eaten.
"Streber why do we have two boxes of Cheez-itz?"
"UHH. WASNT ME."
"Im not even going to ask anymore"

Later that night

"Okay, so, you hold this part of the yarn in your pinky and ring fingers, and the chain part with your thumb and middle, and use your pointer finger like this! And when you grab the yarn with the hook, always grab from the inside!" Streber attempted to explain how to crochet a chain to Kevin.
"What."
"Here watch", Streber said, making a couple inches of chain in a few seconds, making it seem so simple.
"AH shoot i dropped the hook." Kevin complained.
"Its okay! We can stop if you want"
"Eh-"
"Oh btw! What time is it?"
Kevin checked his phone.
"Bout 5pm? Why?"
"Well I looked on the map thing, and theres a pool, and I though maybeeee-"
"Am I gonna have to watch you the whole time again?"
"Heheh, yeah"
"Uhg fine."
"YYAYAYYYY"

couple minutes later

"Alright Streber, you have everything? Goggles, snorkel, towels?"
"Mhm! Can I bring the squirty gun things too?"
*sigh* "Yes"
"AAAH YIPPIE!!"
As soon as they got down to the pool, Streber did his usual cannon ball straight into the pool, no hesitation. And instead of Kevin going to the hot tub immediately, he went in the actual pool with Streber.
"Kevinnnn hurry up I wanna race"
"ITS COLD JUST WAIT"
"UHGGGG"
Kevin stayed in the pool with Streber for most of the time, going along with his childish playing and racing.
"Kevin do you think Id get in trouble if i brought a chair in here?"
"What?"
"I want to sit on one of the chairs but in the pool. Do you think Id get in trouble?"
"Why on earth would you want to sit on a chair in the pool?"
"Because its cool"

4 hours later, about 9 pm

"Streber its pretty late, we should head back to our room. That way hopefully we get to bed before 1 this time."
"And youll watch a show and read me a story if i co-operate right?"
"Fine"
"Yayyy! Okay we can go then!
"Just please take the chair out of the pool before we leave"
They went back to the hotel room, and this time Kevin got dibs on the shower first. Once they had both gotten comfy, Kevin let Streber turn on a show, as he promised. It was another one of his horror movies, those always terrified Kevin, but he was far too stubborn to admit it.
"So, we have tomorrow to ourselves, and can do anything we want, and the next day is the mitski concert." Kevin reminded Streber.
"Mhm, I really wanna go to this one waterpark! Its like, HUGE! And what else is there to do, really?"
"Oh yeah! We should definitely go! But can we make it a plan that we leave there by 5? So we have time to clean up and go out to dinner?"
"Oh yeah!! Okay, so, tomorrow, hotel breakfast, cool waterpark, out for dinner. Yes?"
"Yeah!"

Massive-est time skip ever bc Ive already wrote so much and I dont want to write also another two days of this

At the hotel room 9 am

"Okay Streb, concert tonight. Whats the plan?"
"Uhhhh, I dunno. Do you have ideas?"
"So, I thought, we get all the stuff well need for the day, head out for breakfast, whatever until 5. Then we get to the concert by 5:30, it starts at 7, so well have enough time to get food there, hopefully be earlier than others so we can get a good spot, and maybe get some t-shirts?"
"Sounds good! Ill get my stuff together now? So we can get to breakfast?"
"Alright:)"

9:30am

"Okay, Streber, Checklist. You have your phone?"
"Check!"
"Headphones?"
"Check"
"Comfort plush just in case?"
"Check!!"
"And I think everything else we need is in the car! Ready to go?"
"Yep!!"
They grabbed their bag and went to Ihop for breakfast. Streber got blueberry pancakes and eggs, and Kevin got french toast. They finished breakfast, and went a a mall to kill some time. By the time they were finished, it was 4:45, they got ice cream from a drive thru, and drove to the concert, they arrived at 5. They set out their picnic blanket close to the stage to save their spot, and went to get a couple drinks before walking around and exploring the different pop up shops that were about.

6:45 (15 minutes before the concert

"Alright, are you ready to head back to our spot til it starts?"
"Yeah!!"

7pm

The concert opened with Washing Machine Heart, and everyone singing along. It was by far the neatest concert they had every been to together.
"Hey Streber?? Im gonna go get us some drinks what do you want? and whos driving us back to the hotel later?" Kevin shouted so Streber could hear him over the crowd.
"I only want water, so ill drive!"
"Okay ill be right back"
Kevin returned with his drink and a water for Streber, the song playing was "A Pearl", and Streber was singing along. Kevin sat down next to him, and they enjoyed the music together, they sung as loud as possible during me and my husband, because it was literally them. By the end of the concert,they had the best time of their lifes, and Kevin made it out surprisingly only a little tipsy from the drinks he had.
"My god Kevin im gonna have to deal with ur hungover-ness again tomorrow arent I"
"I probably wont have it that bad, you just have worse hangovers than me lolz", Kevin said, slurring his words slightly.
"Forget I said anything and stfu"
"Rudee. And just for the record, I didnt tryto get drunk, I didnt know that the drinkni had was that strong."
"Uh huh" Streber responded, helping him into the car. He drove them back to the hotel. They stayed another day at the hotel before starting their drive back home.
"Kev look! i finished the blanket! That means I can work on yours now!" Streber yelled excitedly on the second day of their drive back home.
"Awesome Strebs!!"
They drove a few more hours until they were finally back home at 1am.
"Streber wake up were home"
"Streber"
"Streber please dont make me carry you in."
"nmfmgnh"
Kevin caved in a carried him in, he immediately collapsed down on their bed after tucking Streber in.
"Sleep well Strebsy"
