I run out of the movie theatre and sprint over to my car. I want to scream. I just had sex with Tom Hiddleston. I JUST HAD SEX WITH TOM HIDDLESTON. These woulds should not be coming out of my mouth. Or even my metaphorical mouth! I start my car and rush home.
I walk into my apartment and immediately go to bed. I just take off my shoes and turn off my light.
The next morning I wake up before my alarm. I take a shower and properly get ready today. My hair is messily curled and hanging over my shoulders. I'm I put on minimal makeup and throw on the least attractive outfit I own. I am in no way trying to seduce this man. Although, he is by far the most attractive man I've ever been with. But that means nothing. I'm sure he was just very turned on. Maybe scary movies get him going?
STOP OVER THINKING THINGS, SOPHIE.
I arrive at work early today and am the first one to the trailer. I plan out my schedule and make a run to the cafeteria. I come back and everyone is just now showing up.
"Morning." I try to sound as hungover as I can. I don't need anyone getting any ideas.
" What's up your ass? or should I say, isn't?" Chelsea asks dully. At this exact moment, Tom walks in.
I roll my eyes. I don't even bother giving into her childish remark.
I look over at Tom, who is watching me intently.
I avert my eyes to break the painful eye contact and continue to prepare everything for today. " I was going to go to the hair and beauty department to pick up today's supplies, will either of you need extras of anything?"
" You know, I might but I'll have to see how much of everything I have." Steve says. " I'll just go with you."
" Alright." Steve leaves first, so I follow.
He stops, only a few feet away from the trailer. " What the hell has gotten into you?" He asks.
" What do you mean?"
He rolls his eye. " You know exactly what I mean. You're so much more irritable than usual. "
I feel my body turn against me just like time and time before. "It's nothing. I just didn't sleep well is all."
" I'm not buying it. I've known you too long for you to try and hide things from me. You better spill, hoe."
I scoff. He does know me too well. I just don't want to screw myself over. This is overstepping the boundaries by so so so much.
His expectant glares is starting to burn a hole in my retinas. "Well?"
I kick a piece of gravel. " I messed around with someone I shouldn't have."
He stops in his tracks and grabs me by the shoulders, gently shaking me. " FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TELL ME YOU DID NOT FOOL AROUND WITH JAMES?!"
I push his hands off of me. " God, of course not! I'm not that desperate! Although I would much rather it have been him in this case."
I start thinking about my job being on the line again. My heart starts beating ten times faster. I can not lose my job. I wouldn't know what to do with myself.
He gasps. " Who in the hell did you sleep with?"
I can feel the tears brimming at the edge of my bottom lash line. I brush away any tear ready to burst. "Tom." I whisper as if it's going to change the fact that it happened.
He hangs his head a little. "Oh."
I can feel more tears coming. "What?"
" Is he really that awful? I mean for you to say you would much rather it have been James is a real debbie downer. I figured his package would be as glorious as the rest of him!"
I look up at him in bewilderment. " Wha- No! It IS glorious, it's just that I'm sure Kathy is going to figure out somehow and I'm going to be fired and she will rip my head off and serve it to Tom on a silver platter!"
He laughs. " Sweetheart, she's going to keep you all to yourself, what kind of fantasy are you living in?!" He picks me up and gives me a big bear hug. " But don't worry, your secret is safe with me. OBVIOUSLY!"
I roll my eyes and laugh. We finally start walking and make it to the Hair and Makeup department. We get all that we will need for today and head back to the trailer. We set everything up so that we can locate it. Steve begins his work and within the next thirty minutes is finished.
Chelsea then begins her work and finishes almost as soon as she started. I walk Tom to the Costume department and get him dressed into his costume. He looks fantastic in a sailors costume. I try to maintain my sexual thoughts to a minimum.
Once we are all alone, he finally talks to me. " You look beautiful." He leans down and kisses my cheek.
I feel my cheeks turn a bright red. I pull away quickly. " We really shouldn't, Tom."
He shifts his head slightly to the left, studying me. "Why?"
I look down at my sandals. " Last night was great, it's just that, it had been a while for me and we need to keep this strictly business or else things are going to get out of hand and I don't know that I'll be ab-"
He nods in agreement. " Strictly business." He says in a deep, sultry voice. He leans down, brushing his lip against mine. His breath smells of spearmint. I try to pull away but I can feel my body slowly leaning into his. He moves my hair away from my face, pulling me up towards him. He swipes his lips against mine, ever so slightly biting onto my lower lip. My knees feel week. The man can kiss damn good.
I back away before I pounce on him. " I have work to do. You probably won't see me this afternoon, so I'll see you tomorrow."
He pulls me in for one last kiss, making sure to be extremely gentle. I can tell he is stalling. He finally backs away, this time with a huge grin on his face. He walks off towards the studio, leaving me alone in the alleyway.
I finish up my work around three o'clock then head home for the day. I wash a load of clothes, cook dinner, catch up on my reading, then eventually go to bed, mentally exhausted.
It's only been three days on the job and I'm already screwing up.
