Y/n's POV:
We both finally make our way out of the tunnel. We stand in silence for a while. I still don't know what to say to him after what happened back there in the tunnel. Wolfwood grabs a cigarette and lights it up with his Zippo lighter. After finishing the 1st cigarette he grabs a 2nd one.. then a 3rd.. then a 4th?! Alright that's enough! I walk up to him and snatch the cigarette from his fingers before he put it in his mouth.
"Stop that! Smoking is bad for you!" I say to him furiously dropping the cigarette on the ground stepping on it to get rid of the flame.
"Damn.. you could have asked me nicely." Wolfwood says looking annoyed at me. Before I could slap him silly, Vash comes out of the tunnel.
"Well.. I got nothing, there's no trace of him." Vash says worriedly. Roberto also comes out of the tunnel. There is no Meryl though.
"Nothing there either." Roberto also says.
"I say we call it. If we don't figure a way out of here soon we are dead too." Wolfwood says with no patience.
"C'mon nobody's dead okay..? As soon as we find them we go." Vash says with many confidence.
"Hey.. why is Y/n wearing your jacket on her waist?" Vash asks looking at Wolfwood with a confused look. Before Wolfwood could say anything I spoke before him;
"Oh um.. I was just.. cold! Yeah that's what's it."
"How can it be cold silly it's really hot in here like it is outside in the desert. Your sweating too!" Vash chuckles.
"They could be hiding something from us. Maybe they are working together." Roberto says looking suspiciously at me and Wolfwood.
"I p-promise! W-we are not!" I say stuttering uncontrollably as a Roberto comes closer to snatch Wolfwood's jacket off of my waist.
"W-wait! Please don't do that!" I start to walk backwards.
"Why? Too scared your going to be caught from somethi-" before Roberto snatches the Jacket away from my waist Wolfwood comes in front of me holding my waist tightly next to him.
"She got her period." Wolfwood says with a straight face. DAMN YOU WOLFWOOD! I step on his foot really hard and Wolfwood tries to hide the pain from fake smiling. Roberto steps back.
"Oh.. uh.. sorry there." Roberto apologies.
"It's okay.. if I was you I would also be suspicious of myself because someone falling down from the sky is not what you see in daily life.
"Is your stomach okay.. y/n?" Vash looks at me with sorry.
"Y-yeah. Im fine. Worst timing though." We all had a moment of silence till the glowing flying insect comes closer to Wolfwood, suddenly Wolfwood grabs it violently and starts eating it.
"Gross!" I gag. It's even worse when I'm standing right next to him instead of the scene on the show! Ugh! I gag one more time before he finishes it whole and spits out the stem of the insect.
"You can only get one life you know..? Self sacrifice might satisfy the ego but don't throw your life away. Survival is everything." Wolfwood tells us like we didn't know about that.
"Watch out guys, They take the first bite to get your guards down, then lace what they pass to their target with poison. Standard stuff for assassins. Roberto says looking at Wolfwood more suspiciously as before.
"Huh?" Wolfwood looks at Roberto with confusion.
"Our news agency isn't much to be proud of, but one thing we do have is intel network. I've heard about humans who can control worms." Wolfwood chuckles.
