Animal Junction existed before the Kratt Brothers were born. But it wouldn't be found until the first explorers from Europe came to the New World.

While Animal Junction would be discovered by the first Explores, they were denied access as Mother Nature had felt that these men had dark intentions for her home.

How these men had found her home with their darkness and greed, Mother Nature didn't understand.

The Natives during this time knew what Animal Junction was but even with the Natives kindness and honor, Mother Nature felt that these people weren't ready to take care of her home.

So during the time of the early Explorers, Mother Nature kept her haven safe and hidden from the greedy men and local natives, feeling that both people weren't quite ready for what was inside her home.

It wasn't until 1787, the land now known as the State of New Jersey, had its first settlers, did Mother Nature allow her home to be seen and found once more.

Two kids found Animal Junction while walking in the woods. Keeping herself hidden, Mother Nature watched to see what the two children would do.

The two kids, known as Eliza Watkins and George Kratt, both only eight years old, looked around the building in wonder.

"Is there a door Georgie?" Eliza asked.

"Found a door but it won't open" George said.

There was some rustling in a bush near by, causing the children to squeal in fright. Then when a cat of some sort jumped out, the children settled down.

The cat sat down in front of the children.

"What is your purpose for being here children?" the Cat asked.

The two children stared.

George Kratt who was the braver one of the two, answered.

"We like the woods. We are more comfortable in the woods than at home. Why?"

The cat ignored the question and stared at the boy and nodded before turning to Eliza Watkins.

"What is your purpose. I would like a different answer" the Cat said.

Eliza Watkins though not as brave as her friend, spoke up.

"Mama, told me that if we are kind to Nature and replace what we take, Nature will continue to grow. That's why Papa replaces the trees he cuts down, with seeds. But my purpose is only to see that the animals that live in these woods, still have a home" Eliza said.

The Cat nodded and ran away, leaving the two kids in silence.

"Eliza, the door look!" George said pointing back to the building.

"Its open" Eliza said.

George grabbed his friend's hand and the two entered the building.

That summer day, was the last time anyone saw the two friends for a long time.

After 9 years, Eliza Watkins now 17 years old and her friend George Kratt also 17 years old, returned from their adventures with no memories of where they had been.

The only thing that they remembered was that where ever they had been, they were not allowed back ever.

When they had returned to the place they had last been, they notice there were two head stones.

"George, we're dead" Eliza said.

"These say we died in 1787 at the age of eight" George said.

A twig cracked somewhere behind them. The two turned around to face who was coming.

As they recognized the group of four people who had arrived in the clearing, as their parents.

"Georgie?"

"Eliza?"

Their moms looked ready to faint.

After an explanation for where they had been for the last 9 years, the parents laughed.

It took some time to get back into society. It also took sometime for the people of  Woodland, New Jersey, to get used to the once thought dead kids, now teenagers, coming back.

Though it had taken a year for the two teens to be welcomed back into their Wooded Town, George and Eliza still felt like outsiders and more often than not, the two always seemed lost.

They found that the town was too big for them to stay completely settled.

In 1790, George Kratt asked Eliza's father for permission to marry his daughter.

Permission was granted.

The two married in the summer of 1791.

***********************************************

As soon as George and Eliza married, the couple vanished from their town.

No one knew where to find them as they hadn't told any one they were planning to leave the Wooded New Jersey town.

No one knew that during the time that George had asked Eliza's father to marry his daughter, the young man was building a cabin deep in what is now known as Woodland Park.

***************************************************

While no one knew where the couple went, there was one being who did. A being that George and Eliza had met in 1787.

Mother Nature knew where her adopted kids were at all times. Though she missed them and wished that she hadn't had removed their memories of Animal Junction and the reason why they weren't allowed to return, she kept her eyes on the two.

Mother Nature knew something that George and Eliza wouldn't know ever.

The reason for their memory loss of Animal Junction, George and Eliza had grown up faster than Mother Nature had ever seen.

They had lost their compassion for Nature and for the Animals who lived in her woods. They had developed something dark in their hearts.

It was only when George had used his Nature powers on his friend out of anger, did Mother Nature realize the two kids who she had watch grow up in her care, were not the people her own mother had told her about, the people she had seen in a vision.

So Mother Nature removed their memories of the place they grew up in and removed their nature powers, and sent them home.

It would be years before, Mother Nature, would come across two boys. Brothers in fact.

Decedents of George and Eliza Kratt.

The Kratt Brothers would be different. They would be 10 and 6 years old when they would come across Animal Junction.

The Brothers would defeat the coming Darkness that their Great something Grandparents set loose but not before loosing to the Darkness first.

The Brothers Kratt would be the key.

Mother Nature just didn't know how long that wait would be.
