The truth

Y/n's POV:

I wake up to the sound of my alarm blaring loudly. Moving to my side, I notice Chan still sleeping. Closing my eyes, I sigh, before opening them once again to turn off the annoying noise. Getting up from my bed, quietly enough to not wake up Chan, I go towards my closet, picking out a comfy outfit to change into. I walk into the bathroom, changing into the outfit I chose, before making my way out of the room. It was still dark out, making the hallway illuminate the soft light coming from the small lamp in the corner of the hallway. The eerie silence creeped me out, as it was unnaturally quiet. Usually you could hear the soft thumping noises coming from the dwindling zombies bodies, or the occasional moans and groans that shook you to your core when it became too close in proximity. Whatever the case, this was unusual. I tip-toe down the stairs after checking up on the rest of the members who were all still asleep. Once my feet hit the cool wood flooring, I let out a soft gasp. Finally waking up from the cold sensation.

"You're awake?" Minho asks, making me jump from my spot.

I quickly turn around to see a worn out Minho. I softly smile at him, before answering his question.

"Yeah, my alarm woke me up." I softly chuckle, while rubbing my eyes.

"I could've guessed. I heard it all the way from down here."

"You're still awake? I thought you would've been passed out by now." I asked.

"Hard to fall asleep when all you can hear is flesh eating monsters banging their bodies against the windows."

"Fair. You should get your sleep though. I'm going to go hunting today, since it seems to be a bit warmer out."

"I'll come, my hands are pretty skillful." Minho smirks lazily.

"No, you have to get your rest. I'm not letting you walk out of this house barely awake. That's a suicide mission." I say, walking towards the kitchen.

"So you expect me to go to sleep while you are out?" He asks, clearly annoyed with my response.

"Yep." I pull my lips into a thin line, hinting that i'm clearly done with the conversation.

Minho walks away, making his way towards the couch. I open the fridge, grabbing the fresh carton of eggs that I found at a nearby gas station.

I began making a simple breakfast for the guys, occasionally glancing back at Minho, who was trying his hardest to fight off the drowsiness that was slowly creeping through.

I chuckle softly, watching his stoic face slowly melt away into one of tiredness.

"It smells great." Seungmin states, making me turn around.

"It does, I can't wait to eat." Chan replies, making his way to my side.

"How'd you guys sleep?" I ask, before turning my attention back to the stove.

"Pretty good, your bed is so soft and comfy." Chan chuckles, while wiping the gooey gunk from the corner of his eyes.

"The room was insanely cold, but Felix's warm body made up for the lack of heat." Seungmin replied.
