"Wait, Jay, my mom wants me home actually, I got to go." I looked over at him waiting for his reaction.
"Oh, Okay be safe, I'll tell them you're leaving." Jay says.
I nod and leave finding the nearest bust stop which took me 10 minutes for no stupid reason.
I feel like such a coward, Leaving like that. I don't know if I can ever look at them the same way again.
I text my mom saying I was on my way home.

I call her.
