This is just a general intro, you may skip if you don't wish to read it. Though, it does contain useful information.

Hello there, welcome to some of the worst heartbreak you'll ever experience - with a hefty side of fluff. My current hyper-focus is The Stanley Parable, and I literally could not sleep because I was thinking of this story.

This fan-fiction will contain mature topics such as smut, injury, philosophical dread, etc. I will put appropriate TWs in front of each chapter, and warn before any spicy scenes.

Now that that's out of the way, I would like to talk about the narrative itself and its structure without giving much away about the story. As you may have guessed from the tags, Stanley is mute in this AU and uses ASL. I'm an American (I know, ew), so I'm more familiar with ASL than other forms of sign language. Don't worry, you don't have to know a lick of sign to understand. When Stanley communicates, his dialogue will be framed as followed:

"I'm Stanley, I'm addicted to drugs and hookers."

For added dramatization/emphasis, certain words will not be in italics, but instead bolded:

"I'm Stanley, I'm addicted to drugs and hookers."

Author's notes will be at the end of each chapter and will be framed as such (though typically more aimed at you, the audience):

// Really Stanley? Both? You have to get out of that broom closet, it's driving you mad. Here, take a bucket.

"A bucket?? This is amazing! Thank you Lee."

And finally, despite my resistance, I've come to the conclusion that making The Narrator speak in bold will make more sense. His automated lines will be in normal text, but when he himself speaks it will be bold.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this lil' project. And don't worry, I already got the whoolllleeee thing planned. No leaving you for three years only to leave a note saying the story is discontinued, I promise that is not the case.

Bye bye my loves, see you next update~
