The sun rose out of the blue ocean on another day to, once again, greet all the species on Earth.

The sun shone at the Kent’s family's house on their front porch, and the yellow star shone on the windows, making them glint.

A pure white door had a nameplate attached to it that read, “The Kents.”

Inside the house, Lois stood between black leather sofas and her farmhouse rustic solid oak coffee table, which she and her husband bought from Ikea. She looked young in her favorite grey skirt, the same color as her blazer. Underneath the light grey blazer was a slick white short-sleeve shirt, also shiny black high-heeled shoes. She put round black earrings into her pierced ears, one at a time.

"Children, time for school," she hollered from the bottom of the staircase while her hands completed putting on the earrings.

She placed her hand inside the chest pocket, took out a tiny name badge, and clipped it on the left side of her chest. The badge displayed the name,
“Lois Lane Kent.”

Lois kept her maiden name. Her understanding husband never denied her decision. She felt she was a lucky lady. She felt sorry for those wives who had to ask their husbands’ permission to do anything in their career. Not Clark. He supported her all the way. Lois, as a great wife, decided to add Kent to her name plate.

"I'm here, mum!"

A voice came out of the kitchen, startling Lois for a few seconds. Her eyes opened wide and her mouth gasped in shock. Her long brunette hair swirled around her face as she spun to see her stepson at the entrance of the kitchen.

"Gov! Don't do that. You’ll give me a heart attack."  She pressed her hand to her heart and breathed normally.

"I'm so sorry, mum. I wanted to let you know that we all are ready and have made breakfast," Gaurav informed his mother, guilt on his face. He looked down in shame because he didn't mean to scare his mother like that. She smiled in a soothing way, and he returned the smile.

Lois was beaming because Gaurav was already dressed in his school uniform, representing his elementary school. The navy jumper had a logo with a lion and four yellow arrows at the corners leading to four suns. On the top, “Metropolis” was embroidered. On the bottom of the logo was “Elementary School.”

Gaurav and his sisters wanted to be as American and Earthling as possible.

Gaurav wished that if he ever met his biological race, he would hold them responsible for his birth mother's decision to hypnotize his father and make him spend a night with her. He swore to protect his family forever, especially Mother Lois, his real mother.  Never would be the late Alpharian princess's heir, He would tell the royal family off if he ever met them. He would ask how they could let this happen, when it could have ruined his parents’ lives. At least his parents didn’t divorce like his school friend Gina’s parents. He heard that something like that happened to them, but Gina always ran away when kids at school talked about it.

Gaurav was delighted that his parents spent quality time and even kissed in front of his oldest and youngest siblings. They all hollered, "EWW,” even though they loved that their parents loved each other. Either Mum or Dad would say, "Now, kids, if you do not like this, then I suggest you go upstairs.” The siblings would run upstairs, shuddering from the sight of their parents’ lips passionately touching.

Only Gaurav smiled at them while he slowly climbed the stairs, and they smiled back, not knowing that the young boy was delighted for them to unite with a passion for each other.

Gaurav wanted to go outer space to visit the Justice League headquarters, the Watchtower, after his eldest brother Conner told him all about it.

Gaurav remembered the time Conner/Superboy came to visit his family. After graduating from Ivy University, he decided to live with his girlfriend, Miss M'gann, otherwise known by her superhero name, Martin Girl, as Martin Manhunter’s niece. They bought a place in Happy Harbor to have their Fortress of Solitude away from their heroic duties and responsibilities.
