shinji ikari, started third impact but he did not complete it instead he aloud many to leave third impact, this action however sent him away now he must find his way back, at least he has his EVA though

"in your hanger a boy and a girl will appear along with a giant of sorts, teach the boy and girl to fly this vessel and give it to them they will sorely need it, especially the boy for his destiny is a hard one" lorien said
"alright, if you ask this of me then very well" john said trusting lorien as he had before, the old man had nodded
"good luck" he said as the image faded and john felt energy had hadn't had in months, he rose from the command chair and moved down to the hanger where the nial heavy fighters would be located instead the only thing in the hanger were the two humanoids and the giant lorien spoke of the girl looked rather annoyed as she tried and failed to coax the boy into action, one was human, one was an alien he he didn't recognize

"i'm so sorry, lysse" shinji said, asencia sighed
"if you can get up, and actually try to do something maybe we can save her" asencia said in annoyance, she had been trying to get him to communicate with her for months it was him that got her to shut down the living construct and aided in getting it off the ship her condition in doing so was to be allowed to travel with shinji however, what she didn't know was the action of destroying the living construct had in affect created a black hole, which shinji utilizing EVA unit-01 had to close
"maybe you should move to some quarters, i don't think sitting on the floor in the hanger is the most comfortable place to be" john said seeing him not respond, left john confused 'what is with this kid' john thought to himself
"shinji, please talk to me" asencia said as he finally lifted his head to look at her
"let me help you" she said as she held up her hand and i took it as she captured me in a hug, one i reciprocated tightly
"i will never leave you, here me shinji, WE will never leave you" she said i nodded
"thank you" i said
"right you said you help us learn how to use your ship" asencia asked
"right follow me" john said and they followed they spent a week learning the ship and how it worked, before lorien finally collected him
"shinji, this is your journey, you command the ship" asencia said
"your sure" i asked
'we all are" a voice said as i turned to see liz and patty
