First Days and New Friends

First day of high school, yay!...? I had an aqua gypsy blouse and black skinny jeans on. "Beth!" my mum yelled up the stairs, "You're going to be late!"

"Coming!" I yelled back. I flung my school bag over my shoulder and headed down the stairs. Mum handed me a waffle as I pulled my tan UGGs on. Shoot, I forgot my jacket upstairs, I grabbed a black hoodie and forced my arms into the sleeves. I grabbed my lunch and raced out the door. The bus was crowded... I saw a seat open. "Is it okay if I sit here?" I asked the girl next to the open seat. She was wearing a pink aztec print tunic over white leggings. She smiled and nodded, "My name's Amy." She told me when I sat down.

"Beth."

"My friends Rosie, Ella (A/N: that's mousie...), Anette, but we MUST call her Netty, her brother, Joseph, David, his brother Tom, and Finn all go here. You have any friends coming here?"

"One of my best friends Lee's coming here. We're almost at his house. So, are your friends on the bus?"

"Yes. Ella's over here." She pointed to a girl with purple hair. "Rosie over there." She pointed to a girl with dark hair in a red hoodie. "The blond is David, the one with curly hair is Joe. Tom and Finn are over there. And that one behind us is Netty." The bus stopped. Then, a boy with blond hair got on.

"Lee!" I said.

"Hi, Beth!" he sat near us and we talked for a really long time. We hadn't even reached school, but I knew that this was a beginning of a beautiful school year.
