The Secret Room

Chapter 1

Jades Pov:

It was a typical Tuesday afternoon I had gone to school, went to ballet, and took Ollie out for a walk. "Finally some me time" I said to myself.

It was going on 7:00 and heard nothing from my friend Sari. "Ugh she said she would call me right after soccer tryouts, it ended 2 hours ago!" She probably forgot. Thinking nothing of it, I went on with my evening.

I was about halfway through the latest episode of dance moms when all of the sudden the phone rang.it was going on 10:00 who would be calling.

Sari's mom was on the phone "Hello Jade?" Said Mrs. Phillips anxiously. "Hi Mrs. Phillips would you like to talk to my m-" "Is Sari there? She never came home after soccer practice and I was wondering if she went to your house?" "Sorry Mrs. Phillips Sari isn't here." "Do you have any idea where she could be?" Cried Mrs. Phillips "Maybe you could try calling the school or maybe Haley's house, she tried out for the soccer team too." "Will do thank you Jade." "don't worry she'll turn up." I said cheerfully. "Thank you bye" Mrs. Phillips said quickly and the phone clicked and disconnected.

I tried texting Sari. Nothing. Where could she be? I was getting worried.

I tried calling her. I rang. Then it answered. "Sari hello, Sari?! Where are you?" I heard muffled screams and a subtle laugh and the line went dead.

Sari loves playing pranks on people, especially me, but she was taking this too far. I texted her "Sari stop playing some stupid prank and get home, your parents are worried sick."

The reply sent to me was something that would haunt me forever.
