"I know dad. Sure. Yeah. Of course not. Alright. No. Yes. Okay. " I continued answering my dad as we spoke on the phone. Finally, the questions came to an end. "Okay dad. Bye." And the moment I've been waiting for... The call ended. I sighed in relief as I connected my phone to it's charger. Now that that's settled, I remembered my hunger. I've been hungry since I got into my dorm about thirty minutes ago and planned to change into something presentable before heading to the hall but as usual, my luck ran out and dad called. Don't get me wrong though, I love my dad alot. But, he can be quite a pain sometimes. Ever since I got into Norway Prep like five years ago, dad almost never went a day without speaking to me.  Anyways, I changed from my horrible uniform to a more comfortable outfit and headed towards the hall. Getting in, I took a seat far west and placed my headset over my head. Okay,  this may sound a little cringe but I'm obsessed with Nigerian songs. Not all though. It's just Burna boy who is my favorite, Rema, Omah Lay and Tems. Currently, Burna's 'Alone' was blasting into my ears through my headset. I mean, what's there not to like in Burna's songs? Anyways, Pin, actually Mrs. Rosa the cafeteria lunch lady walked up to where I sat and placed a tray on my table. Taking off my headset I glance up at her with a smile. "Thanks" I said.
"Don't sweat it sugar" she replied me and left. Okay let's be clear, she's not some sort of waitress to go around serving everyone but for some reason, she likes me and prefers to bring my food to me other than me queueing. Not that I'm some kind of rich influencial kid who everyone wants to be friends with for benefits, I'm just plain old me and well, she likes plain old me. So, it's kind of a win-win situation to me. Hehe. I started eating, happily relishing the taste of the glorious apple pie on my tongue. I really can't get enough of this.
Oh well, I finished up my dinner and decided on a walk through the soccer field. At this time, no one could possibly be playing on the field so, yeah, it was pretty serene. Perfect for an evening walk. While walking with XXX's 'Ex-bitch' playing in my ears, my mind goes back to how my day went. I have this habit of going over my day either before bed or during quiet walks like this. Well, today went smooth. And by smooth, I mean I benched almost every period today. But of course, I attended Differential equation class and Applied Chemistry class. I couldn't possibly ditch those to because Snort and Gruff will be sure to detain me for a whole month. Just thinking about it gets my stomach in knots. After classes, we had lunch and continued afternoon sessions and finally, we were set free. Okay I might have skipped out the part where I accidentally poured a cup of chocolate fudge ice cream over Miranda during recess. Yeah well, it's not my fault she decided to be a bitch.
"Hey McKayla, have you ever thought about getting a face surgery done? Because in my opinion, you are in dire need of it." Miranda spewed out. All I did was glance up at her and return my gaze to my notebook. I bench classes, sure. But I always have my notes updated so I study and catch up. Not to brag, but I'm an 'A grader's and I like keeping it that way. "Seems you also need an ear surgery as well" she scoffed. This time, I had had it to my neck. I placed my pen on my note, closed it and stood up.
"Well it seems little miss dumbo has nothing better to do than stalk me all day." I utter with a smirk that always irked the hell out of Miranda.
"You calling me dumb?" Miranda questioned with a glare.
"Uh... I don't know. Did I? I question back feigning an a confused look that soon breaks into a dark chuckle. "Y'know, as much as I don't like that face of yours, I wouldn't want it looking all purple and black. It won't suit you so much so, to avoid it, let's keep some distance shall we?" I concluded with an overly sugary smile. I could tell she was in in rage and boy do I just love it!
" Yeah right, says the one who needs plastic surgery." She uttered and harrumphed like she'd just said something reasonable. I shrugged.
"I appreciate your concern, but I'd prefer you keep your opinion to yourself dear Miranda." I said with obvious sarcasm.
"Just an advice." She tsked. "But then, you can't possibly afford a surgery. I mean, your dad-"
"You will not speak a word about my dad. Do you get that?" I immediately cut in. If she was trying to piss me by involving my dad in whatever this is called, it's working but she'll be on the receiving end and trust me, no one wants that." You can shove your stupid advice up your ass  because you damn well need it. But then, would you understand?  I'm pretty sure even your brain has plastic in it." I retorted with a scoff.
"At least I'm not a psychotic human with a halved brain" She spat. I quirked a brow. Psychotic huh?
"I think you have no idea about the difference between normal and psychotic so let me show you just a bit of what a psychotic human would do." With that statement and a smile on, I picked up my ice cream and emptied it over her head. "There," I said. "That should shed more light." I honestly couldn't help but bask in the expression on her face. She looked shocked, angry and still had a look of misbelief.
"You motherfuckin' bitch! I'll get you back for this" she raged.
"We can talk about that after you clean yourself up. Okay?" I said with a chuckle and without another word, she bolted out of my classroom. Good riddance.
I couldn't help but laugh remembering that priceless look on her face. If someone saw me right now, they might just think I'm some kind of crazy ass human in need of treatment, but I can't help it. The day went pretty well after that little chat with Miranda. With a sigh, I continue my walk while humming to the tune of Nicki's 'Savage'. After completing three hundred and sixty degrees, I returned back in the direction of Einstein hall. That's where my dorm is. I'm sure on hearing the name Einstein hall, the first thing that comes to your mind is smarties, tech whizzes, science freaks, and those other stuff but sorry to disappoint you, because Einstein hall is the home of crazy humans. While I made my way to the elevator, the sound of unnecessarily loud music bang my ears. I honestly regret lowering my headset to my neck earlier. As always, the jam was erupting from dorm 107. Damn those kids are noisy. Finally, I get to the elevator and step in. My dorm was on the fourth floor so I pushed the button and the elevator moved. In no time, I was on my floor. I walked through the hallway and got to my dorm after a turn. I pulled out my keys and stepped into the room. It was a two person dorm as was all the rooms on the third and fourth floor. The other floors had four person dorm rooms. That's probably because that's where all the juniors are. I guess. Anyways, my roommate, Jenny was on her bed concentrating on her phone when I walked in.
"Hey Jenn" I greeted and she turned her head to face me. Frankly, I can't emphasize this enough but that girl is an eye full. Like hell, slightly wavy light brown hair, tall lithe figure, with all the curves in the right places, jeez. Not to mention her rare ash eyes. Y'know, I once thought those were contacts when I first met her, but she was kind enough to let me get so close and literally touch her eyeball to confirm. Pretty weird huh?
"Hi Kay. Where you been?" He responded as I made my way to my bed.
"Been around. Just took a walk" I replied her.
"Alright then. Uh.. the boys came over." She said. And I smiled knowingly.
     "Did they now?"
"Uh-huh. Kept trynna tell them you weren't in but they were adamant. Wanna tell me what's going on?" Now she raised her brows. I definitely gotta spill.
     "Oh well nothing much..."
I ended up narrating the story to her before I could finally have some rest.
