After a few days of resting in the hospital bed he was able to go home with his mother. The house hadn't changed one bit. It kinda of was reassuring seeing everything just the way he remembered. His room was untouched. He could tell his mom hadn't had the heart to go into his room. Dust had collected on all the All Might figures and posters. He still liked All Might, if anything he was the last pure hero out there. But he was nowhere near as obsessed as he used to be as a kid. He even cringed to the memories where he had been creating superhero names. He had always seen the best in people when he was younger. How heroes were the best thing ever, how he would become the best hero of all time. Maybe even one day being like All Might. What a selfish kid he was, but he still could smile like the young innocence boy who had yet to see the world for what it truly was. An unfair world where people aren't equals. And heroes that were just out for fame and fortune. Izuku walked over to his desk and looked at the posters that hung above it. Memories when life was simple and happy. Times where his mother had little worries. He even kind of missed those games he used to play with Kacchan when they were young.
7 months seemed to be passing pretty slowly. His mother had been making him go to therapy. His therapist was nice, sure, but he surely didn't trust him with any of his secrets. He was bound to repeat his words and worries to Izuku's mother and he wouldn't risk making her sadder by seeing how much Izuku had changed. Not only that but there were multiple occasions where Izuku would be brought in for questioning. Of course he revealed very little, only parts that would be considered true that helped with the case he was trying to make. Leaving out any parts that would incriminate him or make him seem suspicious, sprinkling in a few lies here and there of course.
Izuku wanted to be careful when beginning up UA. He knew his mother would be extra careful when it came to letting her son out. Especially when it came to villains. So he slowly dropped hints about wanting to go to UA to his mother. He could tell when she would pick up on them, as her face would scrunch up with a worried gaze. His mother was worried, it was obvious. It was probably about the idea of her baby fighting villains. How dangerous it was. Another factor could be how she was worried about him being taken away again. He wanted to tell her he would be taken, that he would be safe. But he wasn't sure about it either. Who knew what Shigaraki was planning. Or Master for that matter. All he could do was keep showing her he was alright, and try to get help with her stress.
As the 7 months were coming to an end he couldn't help but feel bitter to the fact Kacchan never even tried to visit. Though what was he expecting, it wasn't like they were friends. The more he thought about it the more bitter he became about it. It would be hard keeping this mask around him. He was a pesky brat, he just hoped Kacchan wouldn't trigger any of his training instincts. That could arouse suspicion. And that would be bad. Even though Izuku hated to admit it, Kacchan was the best in his middle school classes for a reason. He was a smart kid, and a persistent one at that. And that was dangerous, he needed to stay away from him.
He knew for a fact Kacchan would get into UA, he just prayed he wouldn't be in the same class as him. A few days before the entrance exam, he brought up his dream to go to UA with his mom. She seemed hesitant about the idea of letting him go, but he could tell she didn't want to break his dreams. Maybe she thought his dream to become a hero was what kept him alive all that time away from home. That would be good if so, he could use that to his advantage. Even if it made him feel bad to see his mother like this.
Izuku was sitting in his room when he heard a voice it sounded sort of familiar.'Good evening ma'am' why did that sound like All Might. He got off from his bed and crept over to the door, pressing his ear up against it so he could hear better.
'Ah thank you for coming please make yourselves at home' Izuku's mom said
'How is he doing' almight asked, her grazes soften looking down as she was twiddling her thumbs.
'His asleep right now, please he has been through all' she said sobbing, Izuku could hear his mom's sobs and it felt painful to lie to her but he had no choice since he was on a mission.
