That's right Asakhe is married to Alexander Lightwood, the eldest of the Lightwood siblings after the Lightwood were sabotaged which ended up ruining their reputation but with the Blackthorn family name Asa helped put people's trust back into the Lightwood family.
Asakhe is a ray of sunshine in the words of most shadowhunters and downworlders but her life isn't all cupcakes and rainbows.
The girl has been through hell and back.
From being kidnapped at four days old to loosing almost her whole family except for her two youngest brothers which made her had to step up at the age of 15 and take care of her brothers.
She's been experimented on and has the scars along with the trauma which causes her anxiety and nightmares to prove it along with scars which not only have come from her kidnappers but herself as well.
After marrying into the Lightwood family all of the siblings seem to blame Asakhe and are hateful towards her like she was the one who planned it and wanted it to happen.
Asakhe is grateful that at the very least her husband respects her and she has her parabatai beside her.
The only one out of the Lightwood siblings who knows everything Asa has been through is her parabatai who just so happens to be the second born Lightwood and eldest daughter Camilla Lightwood.
Now it comes as a surprise to most people but Asakhe is actually really close with Maryse Lightwood, the woman is like a second mother to her and she understands that Maryse is going through just as much pain as she is every time she remembers her parents after all she had a brother and sister bond with her father and was her mothers parabatai.
Both Maryse and Asa are so incredibly grateful for each other.
Maryse always told Christina that Asakhe was like another daughter to her and she would protect her no matter what and with everything Asakhe has been through Maryse always makes sure to check up on her amazing one of a kind daughter in law.
